Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Industrial Engineer. This is an onsite role at our Tulsa, OK location.
As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and driving change through the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing tools to solve problems and make improvements throughout the Tulsa manufacturing plant or other Whirlpool Facility. Lead all activities associated with labor utilization for operational areas assigned. Using strong data analysis, this position will own costing and projects regarding continuous improvement, as well as, the efficient use of the plant's human resources.
Relocation available for eligible candidates.

Your responsibilities will include
Be active in ergonomic studies and lean activities to determine safety and cost reduction opportunities.
Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant and product features
Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine assembly sequence.
Strong data analytical skills
Develop a project pipeline for cost takeout/loss removal including working closely with finance department to validate potential savings
Assist in developing and implementing optimized workflows, layouts, and methods to enhance production flow, minimize waste, and improve resource utilization using lean principles.
Ensure new models/parts efficiently integrate into operations
Drive continuous improvement through detailed analytics
Support WCM implementation by providing leadership to continuous improvement group
Lead and manage multiple Kaizens of various complexity with minimal oversight.
Minimum requirements
Bachelors Degree
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of industrial engineering or continuous improvement experience
Preferred skills and experiences
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other Engineering disciplines considered with experience in lean manufacturing, time studies, or process optimization
Strong background in World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
Strong knowledge of MODAPTS, Proplanner tools, Autocad
Creative problem-solving techniques and ability to accomplish tasks and objectives
Outstanding organization, communication, and leadership skills
Competent on PC and mainframe systems related to responsibilities
Understanding of factory costs and good financial acumen
