Description
The Head of Commercial Transformation & PMO is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and sitting on the Commercial Leadership Team. This individual serves as the CCO's right hand: the single point of accountability for cross-functional launch planning and execution, and the architect of the organizational change management needed to carry DBV's commercial organization from a pre-commercial to a fully operational commercial company. The role owns the Program Management Office (PMO) function for the commercial organization, establishing the governance, cadence, tools, and discipline required to plan, track, and deliver the interdependent workstreams across Marketing, Commercial Operations, Sales, and Market Access that must converge around the Viaskin® Peanut launch.
Beyond program management, this leader is the organization's principal change agent, building the awareness, engagement, and readiness of a commercial team experiencing its first product launch. This individual manages high-priority special projects, shapes the narrative and content of Board of Directors and Executive Committee presentations, and represents the CCO in cross-functional forums where the CCO's direct presence is not required. The ideal candidate is a seasoned commercial or corporate strategy leader with a track record of leading complex, multi-year transformation or launch programs inside a matrixed organization, exceptional executive communication and board-level presentation skills, and the judgment and gravitas to operate as a credible extension of the CCO across the commercial leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Launch Planning & Execution
- Own the integrated commercial launch plan, consolidating workstreams and interdependencies across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, and enabling functions into a single, CCO- and Board-visible master plan.
- Establish and run the PMO governance model, including workstream charters, milestone tracking, RAID (risks, actions, issues, decisions) logs, and escalation pathways for all commercial launch-critical initiatives.
- Own the commercial launch risk register, maintaining named owners and mitigation plans for the top launch risks, and report risk status to the CCO and Commercial Leadership Team on a fixed cadence.
- Lead scenario and contingency planning for launch-critical variables (regulatory timing, supply continuity, payer access timing), with defined triggers and pre-agreed response owners.
- Track launch readiness milestones in real time through the Launch Readiness Review (LRR) cadence, providing the CCO with an unvarnished, evidence-based view of where the organization stands against plan.
- Design and lead the organization's change management strategy for the transition from a pre-commercial to a commercial operating model, including communication planning, training reinforcement, and adoption tracking for new processes and systems.
- Build organizational awareness and engagement around the launch and the transformation it requires, partnering with HR and functional leaders to close capability, process, and cultural gaps that could impede the shift to commercial-stage operating discipline.
- Serve as a visible, credible change agent across the Commercial Leadership Team, modeling and reinforcing the accountability, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration the new operating model requires.
- Manage the commercial strategic initiative portfolio, forcing explicit prioritization tradeoffs to the CCO and Commercial Leadership Team when capacity conflicts emerge.
- Lead or directly support special projects requiring senior judgment, discretion, and cross-functional reach, ranging from competitive response analyses to organizational design questions.
- Represent the CCO in cross-functional working sessions, steering committees, and functional leadership discussions where the CCO's direct presence is not required.
- Act as a trusted thought partner and sounding board to the CCO on organizational, strategic, and operational matters, surfacing issues and options before they reach crisis stage.
- Own the preparation of commercial materials for Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings, partnering with the CCO to define the narrative, structure, and key messages for each session.
- Synthesize input from across the commercial leadership team into clear, executive-ready presentations, ensuring consistency of data, message, and tone with prior Board and Excom communications.
- Enforce figure consistency and source discipline across all Board, Excom, and investor-facing commercial materials, reconciling any number that appears in multiple documents with different values before external exposure.
- Anticipate Board and Excom questions and pressure-test commercial materials in advance with the CCO and functional leaders, ensuring the CCO enters every session fully prepared.
- Sit as a full member of the Commercial Leadership Team, contributing an enterprise-wide, cross-functional perspective to strategic and operational discussions.
- Facilitate the Commercial Leadership Team's meeting cadence, off-sites, and quarterly business reviews in partnership with the CCO, maintaining a standing decision log and tracking action items to closure.
- Build strong, trust-based working relationships with the leaders of Marketing, Commercial Operations, Market Access, and North American Sales to ensure the PMO function is viewed as an enabler, not an overhead layer.
- Model and enforce full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, FDA guidelines, PhRMA Code, and company policies across all commercial functions and team members.
- Ensure launch and transformation program documentation meets internal governance, audit, and compliance standards.
- Complete all required training, certifications, and compliance modules in accordance with company timelines.
