Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find an experienced Fleet Project/Program Manager to support fleet operations and vehicle management initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals with experience coordinating complex programs, managing fleet-related projects, working with external vendors, and driving cross-functional execution across multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rental fleet management, strong project coordination and communication skills, and the ability to manage schedules, deliverables, risks, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job: Project/Program Manager – Fleet Operations
Duration: 6 months with extension/conversion possible

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project/Program Manager with 5+ years of experience supporting fleet, transportation, automotive, rental, or operational programs.
This role will be responsible for coordinating and completing projects/programs related to rental fleet management, vehicle operations, vendor coordination, and cross-functional business initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee project activities from planning through completion, establish timelines and responsibilities, monitor progress, identify risks, and provide clear status updates to leadership.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can work independently, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, manage vendors effectively, and take ownership of delivering projects on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of Project/Program Management experience.
• Direct experience with rental fleet management or fleet vehicle operations.
• Strong experience with external communications and vendor management.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing requirements and deliver results with limited supervision.
• Experience preparing management reports and communicating project status, risks, and issues clearly.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
Program Management – 5+ years of experience coordinating and driving projects/programs from planning through completion, including schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and status reporting.
External Communications / Vendor Management – Strong experience managing external vendors, partners, service providers, requirements, issues, and stakeholder relationships.
Rental Fleet Management – Hands-on experience managing rental vehicles, fleet operations, vehicle availability/utilization, fleet coordination, or related rental fleet activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in rental fleet, automotive, transportation, mobility, logistics, or vehicle operations environments.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems, rental fleet software, vehicle tracking, or fleet data platforms.
• Experience managing multiple external vendors or service providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and take ownership of complex programs.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment.
Education:
• Requires a Bachelor's degree.
Top Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Project/Program Management experience with direct rental fleet or fleet operations experience. They should have hands-on experience with vendor management, fleet coordination, project schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder communication. Experience with rental fleet software, SQL, or fleet data is highly valued.
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $55/hr - $60/hr on W2.
