Financial Controller

Finance Controller | $ OPEN K + Benefits | Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations while also supporting financial planning and business strategy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with accounting while also using financial data to help drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements

• Perform budget vs. actual analysis and financial forecasting

• Coordinate with external CPAs and tax professionals

• Support tax compliance and external audits

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to company leadership

• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, control costs, and support growth

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

• Expert-level experience with QuickBooks Online — REQUIRED

• Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills

• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and financial analysis

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to think strategically

• Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment

• Must be willing to work 2–3 days per week in the office
