The company is expanding its portfolio and building a scalable project delivery and operations platform.
The Role
Our client is seeking a Director of Project Execution to lead projects from late-stage design through commissioning and operational handoff.
This is a hands-on, field-oriented role. The Director will serve as the owner’s representative and oversee contractors, schedules, budgets, safety, quality, and project delivery across multiple sites.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing specialized contractors and separate work scopes, rather than relying only on fully wrapped EPC contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handoff.
Serve as the owner’s representative during project execution.
Manage contractors, suppliers, schedules, budgets, safety, and quality.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Support constructability reviews and pre-construction planning.
Manage multiple projects and contractor scopes concurrently.
Identify and mitigate schedule, cost, safety, and execution risks.
Support contractor selection, scope development, and contract management.
Establish scalable project controls, field reporting, and safety procedures.
Support operational readiness, turnover, and early asset management.
Qualifications
10+ years of construction, project delivery, or infrastructure execution experience.
Experience delivering renewable energy, power, utility, or infrastructure projects.
Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and third-party engineering firms.
Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, safety, quality, and project controls.
Experience managing multiple projects or sites concurrently.
Strong field judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strongly Preferred
Owner’s representative or owner-operator experience.
Experience in distributed generation, solar, hydropower, storage, or electrical infrastructure.
Experience managing multiple contractor packages.
Commissioning, operations, or asset management experience.
Experience in a lean or rapidly growing organization.
