Our mission is to bring aging under full biomedical control. We believe this can be achieved through closed-loop hardware that reads and writes bioelectric states in living tissue using electromagnetic and acoustic fields – a control layer for cell reprogramming that chemistry and gene therapy fundamentally cannot provide.
We're looking for exceptional engineers to join us in building machines that make aging optional.
The role
As a Biomedical Engineer at Aion, you will:
Design and fabricate custom hardware for biological experiments: cell culture devices, acoustic assemblies, fixtures, enclosures
Own the full loop from CAD to print to test, often within a single day
Work directly with scientists to translate informal descriptions into functional, iterated parts
Operate across scales and modalities as the science evolves: acoustics in cells today, magnetics in animals tomorrow
You
We value mission alignment, integrity, and ambition over pedigree.
Fluent in parametric CAD
Hands-on with engineering-grade 3D printing: PEEK, PC, CF-Nylon, etc.
Strong first-principles thinker who's comfortable working with teammates outside your own domain
Generalist wiring: willing to learn in new domains
Exposure to acoustics, ultrasonics, or EM hardware is a plus, not a requirement
