Yugoer Spotlight: Connecting People, Driving Progress.    For Peter Jbeili, Executive Vice President of Strategy, great leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about creating clarity, bringing people together and helping teams succeed.   Having spent almost a decade with Campus Advantage and now Yugo, Peter's journey from the property level to the executive team has given him a unique perspective on how decisions shape the experience of both colleagues and residents.   💬 "Leadership is not always about having the answer or jumping in to solve the problem. What can you pack into eight weeks as a Yugo summer intern? Quite a lot, as it turns out! 🌍 From starting out in London to seven weeks in Austin, this summer has included hands-on experience across website development, paid media, budgeting and more. Even better is hearing that the work has made an impact that will continue beyond the internship itself. A huge thank you for everything you’ve brought to Yugo this summer. We can’t wait to see where you take that experience next! 🚀

We are deeply saddened to share news of the passing of our colleague, James Graham.    James dedicated more than 20 years to the real estate industry, building an accomplished career across both student and conventional housing.   He began his career in student housing leasing and operations before moving into facilities leadership, eventually overseeing facilities across hundreds of markets. While his expertise spanned both sectors throughout his career, student housing remained a particular passion.   He brought that passion and breadth of experience to Yugo, joining the business to support the growth of our US portfolio and help create welcoming communities that students could call home during their college years.   James’ experience across leasing, operations, and facilities gave him a rare understanding of every facet of the business and made him a trusted and respected leader throughout the industry.    He had a unique ability to connect with people at every level, equally comfortable talking shop with a maintenance team, helping colleagues understand how facilities contributed to the wider success of a property, or presenting strategy recommendations to senior leaders and investors.   Most recently, as Director of Facilities, James led and supported teams across a portfolio of 45 student housing communities throughout the United States.    Yet, for all of his professional knowledge and accomplishments, James was perhaps best known for the way he showed up for people, consistently asking, “How can I help?” and always meaning it.    His knowledge, humility and genuine willingness to help others earned him the respect of colleagues across the industry and left a lasting impact on the countless people and teams fortunate enough to work alongside him.    On behalf of the entire Yugo family, we extend our deepest condolences to James’ family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. More than 800 students are now active on the platform, creating connections around shared interests and giving students another way to find their community on their own terms. And we're seeing encouraging signs of what that connection can mean for the wider student experience, with 33% of active members rebooking with Yugo.
