WYES mourns the passing of Dr. Norman C. Francis, the trailblazing icon whose journey took him from humble beginnings in Lafayette, Louisiana to a 47-year career as Xavier University president, a civil rights and civic leader, and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. WYES was proud and honored to chronicle his amazing life and impact in the 2022 documentary, DR. NORMAN C. FRANCIS: A LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP.
