  • Sometimes, an international opportunity begins with a meeting close to home. 😉 Last March, WUPATEC joined a meeting with the Taiwanese space sector organised by Aerospace Valley in Toulouse, France. During this event, we discovered the TAcc+ International SpaceTech Startups Supporting Program. After a competitive application and selection process, we are proud to announce that WUPATEC is one of the 12 international companies selected for the 2026 program. 🥳 Only two French companies are part of the final selection! From October, 13th to November, 9th our team will be in Taiwan to meet organisations from the local space and technology ecosystem, connect with industrial partners and explore new opportunities for cooperation. For a company like WUPATEC, access to international networks can make a real difference! We would like to thank the TAcc+ International SpaceTech Startups Supporting Program organisers, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)(工業技術研究院, 工研院), and the Taiwan Space Agency-TASA for this opportunity. A special thank you to Aerospace Valley for continuing to create concrete international opportunities for its members and for supporting the development of innovative companies beyond their home markets. We look forward to continuing this journey in Taiwan. 👋

  • How do RF engineers approach energy efficiency in power amplifier design? 🤔 In this episode, Emmanuel Gatard explains how WUPATEC works on design methodologies for high-efficiency amplifier architectures. The goal: to move from an advanced RF concept to an actual amplifier design in an efficient manner.

  • Yesterday at #FRIGATES2026, Stephane Dellier took part in the panel session: “How do we ensure, across the RF/microwave value chain, measurement coherence from wafer to system: shared challenges and responsibilities” A valuable exchange on measurement coherence, shared challenges, and responsibilities across the RF and microwave value chain. The day continued with a gala dinner in a remarkable setting!! Thank you to the #FRIGATES 2026 organizers and XLIM for hosting this workshop in Brive-La-Gaillarde and for creating such a valuable moment for the community.

  • This week, WUPATEC is taking part in #FRIGATES2026, the Franco-Indian Research Bridge workshop on GaN HEMTs and Electronic Switches, hosted by XLIM in Brive-La-Gaillarde, France. From July 7th to 9th, the workshop will bring together academic and industrial experts to discuss GaN technologies, nonlinear RF devices, advanced circuit design, thermal management, packaging, and next-generation applications for 5G, 6G, defense, and healthcare. WUPATEC will contribute to the technical discussions with two key moments: ▶️ On Tuesday, July 7th, Emmanuel Gatard will present: “Digital linearization of wideband doherty GaN Power Amplifier for 5G FR1 and new 6G applications” ▶️ On Wednesday, July 8th, Stephane Dellier will take part in the panel session: “How do we ensure across the RF/ microwave value chain measurement coherence from wafer to system: shared challenges and responsabilities” We look forward to exchanging with researchers, engineers, and industrial partners throughout the workshop!

  • What makes RF amplification so challenging today? 💡 In this first episode, Emmanuel Gatard gives a short explanation of why RF power amplification remains a complex topic in modern communication systems. This short series is designed to make RF topics easier to understand, with clear explanations from our engineering team.

  • How can Digital Pre-Distortion help preserve linearity in Doherty Power Amplifiers? In the previous episode, we focused on Crest Factor Reduction (CFR), a baseband signal processing technique used to reduce the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of transmitted signals before amplification. Today, in this article, we’ll focus on the second part of the equation: Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD). 👇

  • Every RF power amplifier introduces nonlinear distortion. And the closer it operates to its power limit, the more this distortion can generate spectral regrowth and leakage into adjacent channels. The traditional approach is to back off the amplifier from its compression region. It helps preserve signal quality, but at the cost of power efficiency. Digital Pre-Distortion takes a different approach: instead of only constraining the amplifier, it anticipates its nonlinear behavior and applies a pre-correction to the digital signal. The amplifier still introduces distortion, but the transmitted signal is linearized and kept within the required emission limits. This allows engineers to operate closer to the amplifier's efficient region while maintaining signal quality. Wupatec's DPD IP Core, an Intellectual Property block meaning a reusable block of digital logic that can be embedded directly into a larger chip or programmable circuit, implements this correction before the analog conversion stage. It supports both FDD and TDD configurations with automatic timeslot detection, and the DPD model complexity can be configured at runtime to balance linearization performance and update speed. Compatible with most families of #RFSoCs and FPGAs (Xilinx/AMD, Analog Devices and others), it is designed to integrate into demanding digital front-end architectures for advanced RF transmitter systems.

  • Last day to discover the FR3 demo at IEEE International MTT Symposia (IMS) 2026! 👋 WUPATEC and Mitsubishi Electric are presenting a live setup for engineers working on #5G-Advanced / #6G testing, FR3 Power Amplifier characterization and wideband RF measurement workflows. The demonstration shows how WUPATEC’s RFSoC-based measurement platform and FR3 Extension Board can extend RFSoC capabilities into the FR3 band, enabling: ✅ Wideband signal generation ✅ Signal acquisition ✅ PA characterization ✅ Digital linearization with DPD and CFR ✅ IVCAD Suite integration ✅ Practical workflows for 6G applications Come meet us at the Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA booth #14046 before IMS closes.
