It turns out 30 minutes isn’t enough time when someone lets me talk about innovation. 😄 I had a great time joining CEO of Silicon Valley Executive Academy, Victoria Mensch for Decisions at the Frontier. Some of my biggest reflections went back to the concept of “innovator’s dimemma”. Yes, still relevant... • Every successful company eventually needs an Act Two. • At UiPath, our Act Two is the shift from leading in RPA to helping shape the future of agentic automation. • But an Act Two pivot doesn’t mean abandoning what worked. It means building on the strengths of Act One and applying them to what comes next. See the change early. Act before all the data is obvious. Build from strength. You can’t wait for the market to tell you it’s time to reinvent.

New article up on DevOps.com. A few thoughts on where agentic reasoning helps, where deterministic automation still matters, and why release confidence is the bigger conversation. #ad The complete guide to Document Understanding in UiPath: Your robots can click and type in any system. But most company data hides inside documents: Invoices, contracts, passports, resumes. Document Understanding is how UiPath reads them. Here is the full technical setup in Studio: 1. Install the package → UiPath.IntelligentOCR.Activities → It unlocks the Taxonomy Manager and every activity below. 2. Build your taxonomy → The blueprint of the project: Your document types and the fields you want extracted. → Example: Invoice with Invoice No. (text), Date (date), Amount (number). 3. Digitize → Digitize Document runs OCR on the file. → You get the raw text plus a Document Object Model: Where every word sits and how confident the OCR is. 4. Classify → Classify Document Scope decides what type of document the robot is looking at. → A Keyword Based Classifier recognizes it from typical words like "Invoice" and "Amount". 5. Extract → Data Extraction Scope pulls the fields you defined. → A Form Extractor uses a template: Upload one sample document and mark where each field lives. 6. Export → Export Extraction Results converts everything into a DataSet. → Write it to Excel, a database, or your ERP. The same 6 steps handle passports, resumes and contracts. Only the taxonomy changes. Free resources to master it: 📺 I recorded a complete 34-minute guide where I build this whole setup from scratch: https://lnkd.in/eaRN2-Jt → UiPath Academy's free Document Understanding course: https://lnkd.in/eJE5km_W → The official documentation: https://lnkd.in/ep3QAesi Save this one for the day a folder of PDFs lands on your desk. No coding needed. You can do it.

AI adoption doesn’t require a two-year roadmap. You need one workflow, the people who know it best, and a few focused weeks. 🔀 Our CEO Daniel Dines explains more on Unite.AI: https://ow.ly/P3Ow50Zz2oM
