Filming in another country can open up new locations, talent, and creative possibilities. It also changes how we plan the production. Some international shoots call for 15 Pelican cases. Others call for little more than our laptops. Think Foundry has produced commercial and branded work across the U.S. and abroad. Along the way, we’ve learned how much local crew structures, rental terms, permits, customs, and transportation can shape a shoot. In our latest article, we share what goes into planning an international production, including how we work with local partners, decide which equipment to bring, and prepare for the unexpected. We're hiring! We’re looking for a 1st AC to join our team! (Must be based in San Jose, CA) We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a camera department but is also a serious gearhead. In addition to the typical 1st AC responsibilities on set, this role will take ownership of our equipment — keeping inventory organized, prepping gear, coordinating rentals, picking up/returning rental packages, and making sure everything is where it needs to be and ready to go. You’ll also be responsible for helping load, transport, and unload gear, including driving our grip van to and from shoots. So a valid driver’s license, comfort driving a larger vehicle, and being hands-on with equipment are important. If this sounds like a good fit, drop us a line :)

The projects that feel effortless on screen are rarely effortless behind the scenes. 🎥 For Think Foundry, the work behind the work comes down to clear planning, shared ownership, close collaboration, and the production experience to adapt when things change. Because they do. Schedules shift, locations change, technical issues come up, and sometimes a new idea takes the project somewhere better. That same foundation has supported very different kinds of work, from producing Figure's 200-hour F.03 livestream (Read More: https://bit.ly/3RIelFp) to telling Lunar Energy’s story (Read More: https://bit.ly/45Vz8IM) in one continuous shot, and many more. In our latest article, we share a closer look at the Think Foundry process and how we create the structure for creative teams to stay focused, flexible, and moving in the same direction. Casting begins long before the first headshot or audition lands in the inbox. It starts with understanding the creative vision and working together to turn it into a clear, castable brief. Who feels right for the story? What does the role require on set? How will the performers work together? And what needs to align across the schedule, budget, location, and usage? Getting those decisions right early helps clients move forward with confidence, and helps avoid costly surprises later in production. Sometimes, it also means finding three actors on a Friday afternoon for a Monday morning shoot. In our latest article, we share how Think Foundry approaches casting for on-camera and voiceover work, from shaping the initial brief to choosing the right casting route to confirming the final details before shoot day. Read the full article: https://bit.ly/4btTIDr The right casting should feel natural on screen. Getting there takes clear communication, practical planning, and trusted relationships. Planning your next commercial, brand film, or campaign? We’d love to hear what you’re working on and explore how we can bring it to life together!

Made in 48 hours using a new generation of AI filmmaking tools, 𝘉𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘦 won the Grand Prize at Soulscape’s 48hr Cinema Lab. 🏆 Created by our Head of Post Production Andrew Boer, and a small team, the film responded to the prompt “What world would you build?” with a more personal question: What about the world built for us? 𝘉𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘦 explores life, death, sacrifice, and what we carry forward from our parents. TapNow, Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana Pro, and ElevenLabs helped the team move from idea to finished film in two days. The tools changed the process. Story, taste, and craft made the result worth remembering. Read how it came together: https://lnkd.in/g3ckRfQM

We have partnered with Figure since 2023, helping document milestones from F.01 taking its first steps to Helix-powered logistics demos. Then came a text asking whether we could produce an eight-hour livestream of F.03 operating autonomously. 🤖 It ran for 200 hours. Over nine days, the robots sorted packages and hot-swapped batteries while the internet named them, tracked package counts, placed bets, and bought limited-run merch. Midway through, we added a live human-versus-robot challenge using a remote feed from another building. By the end, more than 9.3 million people had watched across YouTube and X. We wrote about how it all came together, and what happens when technical proof becomes a story people genuinely want to follow. Always love seeing our clients and content on the news 🥳
Edward Mehr with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Network: "This is a program that has been significantly depleted in the recent conflict in Iran… So we need to be producing at 4 or 5 times the rate of what we have been in the past." Three years of partnership with Lockheed Martin, and Machina has been awarded a qualification contract in support of the JASSM program. First time hardware from a Machina Factory has advanced to qualification for a defense missile system. Machina Bellator is the Defense Factory.
