One of our favorite full-circle moments. 🌱 The compost nourishing our greenhouse is now coming directly from WasteNot, Inc., made from the biodegradable food waste we generate here at eden and at Paramount Events. Instead of ending up in a landfill, those organic materials are transformed into nutrient-rich compost that Peter mixes back into our greenhouse beds, helping grow the herbs, greens, and produce that make their way back into our kitchen. This is what a circular economy looks like: keeping valuable resources in use, reducing waste, and giving nutrients back to the soil to grow more food. It's one small part of our ongoing commitment to thoughtful sourcing, sustainability, and creating systems that benefit both our community and the environment. 🌿"

Large-scale events have the power to bring people together, but they also have the potential to create a tremendous amount of waste. At Paramount Events, we see that as an opportunity to do better. At a recent event hosting over 2,300 guests, sustainability remained front and center in every detail. Through our partnerships with Copia, WasteNot, Inc., Almost Home Chicago, and Inner Voice, Inc., we ensured that what could’ve ended up as waste instead became thousands of nourishing meals for those in need. 💚 2.2k pounds of food donated 🍽️ 2.2k community members fed 💧 514k gallons of water saved 🌍 7k pounds of CO₂ diverted That’s the ripple effect of a meal — extending far beyond the event itself and into the lives of Chicagoans who need it most. Every event we produce is an opportunity to celebrate responsibly, support our community, and create impact that lasts long after the plates are cleared.
