When every second counts, facility design matters. Expanding access to emergency services is at the core of the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) Station 36 project in Washington. This ground-up fire station is the first of three new fire stations for VRFA, designed to strengthen emergency response capabilities and help meet the needs of a growing community. By improving response times, increasing service capacity, and enhancing operational readiness, Station 36 will play a critical role in protecting residents, businesses, and visitors for years to come. More than a facility, this investment represents a commitment to public safety, community resilience, and equitable access to lifesaving emergency services. Whether you’re a New Yorker or just visiting, go check out these new immersive experiences with some of the best views in the entire city! Swinerton recently delivered experiential upgrades to Edge NYC at 30 Hudson Yards, improving retail, exhibit, and guest-facing spaces across multiple levels, including a double-height area on Level 100. The work prepared the attraction for specialty fabricators and exhibit teams while creating a must-visit destination. The project required careful phasing, with most work performed off-hours to prevent any disruptions to routine and event operations. Swinerton coordinated closely with building stakeholders, venue operators, creative designers, fabricators, and installers to bring the client's vision to life.

The spaces where communities gather, access services, and respond to emergencies are more important than ever. Across Southern California, public agencies are balancing growing populations, evolving community needs, and increasing expectations for resilience, sustainability, and long-term value. From emergency operations centers and civic campuses to innovative mass timber facilities, Swinerton partners with public agencies to deliver projects that strengthen communities and support future growth. Big milestone for the OCVIBE team! Deck D is now substantially complete, marking a major step forward in delivering critical infrastructure that will support the future OCVIBE district and enhance the fan experience at Honda Center. This eight-level parking structure spans more than 718,000 square feet and provides 1,790 parking stalls, along with a VIP tunnel connection, two pedestrian bridges to Honda Center, a 1,200 kW rooftop solar system and 12 escalators to improve access and circulation. We're especially proud of the extensive self-perform work completed by our teams, including concrete, drywall, specialties, façade wall screens and vertical fins. Congratulations to our project team and trade partners whose collaboration, expertise and commitment to excellence helped bring this milestone to life.
