  • Two decades of experience haven't changed one thing: John Ta still enjoys learning! After building a career that started in the polymers laboratory and now leading the Surventis Refinish Coatings business across Australia and New Zealand, he continues to look for opportunities to learn, whether that's helping customers prepare for new technologies, strengthening partnerships across the region - or stepping onto the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu mat. "As a 'fighter', it's humbling to start again and rebuild in a new fight system. At the same time, it's so refreshing to be new and to be learning." That mindset shapes the way he leads, listening first, staying curious and learning alongside his team, customers and partners. • Together with Lufthansa Technik, we are taking the next step in the development of AeroSHARK. A Lufthansa City Airlines Airbus A319 is now serving as the world's first test aircraft for the next generation of the fuel-saving AeroSHARK technology. Until February 2027, around 70 transparent material samples will be tested under real operating conditions to provide insights for the further development of the technology. The next material generation is being developed for future applications on wings and tail surfaces, helping unlock additional efficiency potential for commercial aviation. With AeroSHARK, Lufthansa Technik relies on the riblet technology manufactured by Surventis. As part of Surventis, Chemetall applies its deep surface treatment expertise to support these solutions, helping the aviation industry operate more efficiently and sustainably.

  • For automakers, every layer brings new expectations for color, protection, performance and production. The surface has to express the character of the vehicle, stand up to real-world demands and work consistently at scale. Every decision has to support the vehicles being built today and the demands coming next. That takes a partner who understands your ambitions, your production realities and the pressure to make the right decisions in a changing market.  Our mobility business combines coatings, color, application processes and digital solutions to help automitive OEMs move with greater confidence, from first color decisions to consistent application on the line. As Surventis, we can move faster and stay closer to our customers. We can put more energy into advancing the technologies, processes and partnerships that help improve efficiency, strengthen sustainability and support performance across the line and on the road. That is how we help our customers go further, with surfaces that perform, inspire, and create lasting value.

Surventis begins with a commitment to excellence from the people our customers already know and trust. That commitment lives in our chemists, engineers, color experts, digital specialists, operations teams and technical service teams. Across labs, production lines, shops and customer sites, they stay close to the work and to our customers. Every layer reflects the dedication behind it. Together, they bring curiosity, ownership and technical expertise to demanding surface challenges. They stay close to the details, deliver practical solutions and keep improving processes with our customers from the earliest design phase through the final finish - and beyond. You can see this commitment in the work itself: in every formulation and application and in the trust we build by staying close to our customers’ realities. Driven by passion and science, our people go beyond the surface to help customers go further.

  • Surventis brings together three businesses, each focused on a distinct set of surface challenges and united by a shared commitment to helping customers go further. Surface Treatment: Before a surface can perform, the process behind it has to be right. Our surface treatment expertise brings together high-performance technologies, local insight and end-to-end support to help customers strengthen their processes, improve durability and operate more sustainably. Mobility Coatings: From coatings and color to application and digital solutions, our teams partner closely with automotive OEMs to bring the vehicles of today and tomorrow to life. Refinish Coatings: For refinish professionals, color is both science and craft. Our refinish expertise pairs advanced paint technologies with training and support that help partners restore vehicles with confidence. This structure helps our businesses move faster, partner more closely with customers they know deeply and bring shared expertise and innovation to complex surface challenges. Driven by passion and science, we always go beyond the surface.

  • This is how we celebrated Surventis! One main event, eight key sites streaming live and celebrations happening simultaneously around the world. More than 10,000 people, all marking the same milestone together - the first day as an independent company with more than 130 years of history behind it and everything still ahead. From Shanghai to Frankfurt to Tultitlan, the energy was extraordinary. This is what it looks like when a company comes to life! We are just getting started.

Gray is gaining ground globally - but not in the same way everywhere. Across regions, the story behind gray unfolds differently: - In China, it’s accelerating - In Japan, it’s steadily moving into the mainstream - In EMEA, it’s consolidating Gray has reached a new level. Not a trend anymore - but a foundation. As Florina Trost, Head of Design EMEA, highlights: “From a European perspective, this data shows what currently resonates on the road and validates our CMF direction. It also helps us refine and evolve our color concepts, shaping what comes next and opening space for even more diversity ahead.” Gray isn’t just rising. It’s redefining what neutral means.
