While students are choosing from a wide range of summer learning options, more than 1,000 of our educators are doing the same thing. This summer, teachers and staff from every corner of St. Vrain Valley School District are enrolled in more than 50 different professional learning courses, diving deep into their craft when they can be fully focused on their own growth. Teaching is one of the few professions where the work and the learning happen in the same room at the same time. Summer changes that equation. It gives our people the space to stretch, experiment, and truly absorb new thinking in a way that the school year simply cannot always offer. Great teachers are great learners. Always have been. Summer just gives them the runway to really go for it. This is not professional development as a checkbox. This is over 1,000 individuals investing in their craft so that when students walk back through our doors in August, they are met by educators who are sharper, more connected, and more ready than ever. The learning never stops here. For anyone. CU Denver Chancellor Kenneth T. Christensen signed an agreement with St. Vrain Valley School District that gives eligible high school students who earn a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher guaranteed admission to CU Denver, along with their application fee waived.
