🚨Alumni Spotlight🚨 An alumnus from our Arizona campus, Canyon State Academy, Nick MacNeil pays tribute to the site in his business, while crediting his accountability and support to the program that exposed him to a plethora of vocational opportunities. After graduation, he joined the military, where he chose to be a culinary specialist. After that he tried a lot of other trades, from retail sales to HVAC repair before a friend said to him, “You look like you’d make a good tree climber,” and gave him an opportunity that would change his life. Now a professional arborist running his own business, Canyon State Trees, he’s working with the program to bring arboriculture as a career and technical opportunity to the youth at Canyon State Academy where he also works part-time to give back. We are so proud of this goal oriented, entrepreneurial, alumni who continues to work hard and give back to those in his community.

Our 2026 Annual Meeting brought together Rite of Passage leaders from across the country to align our vision, share best practices, and shape the future of our agency. Over four impactful days, leaders collaborated, engaged in professional development, and set a clear course for the year ahead. We were honored to learn from Lisette A. Burton, J.D., Dr. Paula Smith, and Dr. William Bruinsma, whose expertise and insights continue to strengthen our work in youth services. One of the most powerful moments was hearing from a panel of current students and alumni, reinforcing our commitment to embedding voice and choice across all aspects of our programming. When young people are empowered, meaningful change happens. We’re proud to recognize the outstanding leaders who make this work possible every day. Energized and aligned, we look forward to the year ahead as we continue this important work together! #YouthEmpowerment #ProfessionalDevelopment #YouthAdvocates #WeAreROP #VoiceAndChoice #ContinuousLearning
