    Why can a first dose of gene therapy sometimes make a second dose  harder to deliver? The immune system can learn to recognize the adeno- associated virus (AAV) delivery vehicle from the first dose, and attack it before it delivers the therapy the next time. Our scientists challenged that assumption, studying how the immune system responds to AAV at its most fundamental level.   • Our new paper in Nature highlights how human genetics can help uncover potential new therapeutic strategies for obesity, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and broader cardiometabolic disease.💡 Regeneron Genetics Center researchers combined exome data from more than one million people with studies in human liver cells and animal models to investigate the FNIP1 pathway's role in energy metabolism. The findings identify the pathway as a potential therapeutic target and demonstrate how large-scale human genetics can help prioritize new approaches to disease.     We are deeply saddened by the passing of financial industry luminary and Regeneron’s longtime director, Arthur “Art” Ryan. Art served on our Board of Directors for more than two decades and was a trusted advisor whose judgment, integrity, and business insight helped guide the company through many important milestones. We will miss his wisdom and unwavering support of Regeneron's mission. Prior to joining Regeneron's Board, Art built a distinguished career in financial services, including serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Financial and as President and Chief Operating Officer of Chase Manhattan Bank. Art also left an enduring legacy of civic engagement and philanthropy throughout Newark and Essex County, New Jersey. On behalf of everyone at Regeneron, we are grateful for Art's many contributions and years of service. We join his family, and all who knew him, in celebrating his life and legacy.

  • Now live: the MCPS Imputation Server, a free research resource built on sequencing data generated by Regeneron Genetics Center and developed in collaboration with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Oxford Population Health. The platform enables researchers worldwide to impute genetic variants using data from the Mexico City Prospective Study, the largest genetic study of a Latin American population, helping address longstanding gaps in genomic representation.
