We are excited to announce that Apollo Funds have completed the previously announced acquisitions of Questex and Emerald. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Questex as we officially join forces with Emerald and begin operating as one company. Together, we are creating a leading B2B events and media platform with enhanced scale, expanded capabilities, and a strong foundation for growth. As previously announced, Paul Miller FCIM has been named Chief Executive Officer of the combined company. In addition, we have made the following appointments to the executive leadership team of the combined company: - Vincenzo DiMaggio, named as Chief Financial Officer; - Issa Jouaneh, named as Chief Operating Officer; - Kate Spellman, named as Chief Commercial Officer; - Kurt Nelson, named as Chief Talent Officer; and - Sara Altschul, named as Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary. An Exciting New Chapter Begins Today, it was announced that Paul Miller FCIM, current CEO of Questex, will lead the combined Emerald and Questex business as CEO upon close of the previously announced transaction, (click here: https://lnkd.in/gVRrdJqf), with Apollo Global Management, Inc. managed funds (“Apollo Funds”). Paul has a strong track record of building customer-focused businesses and leading organizations through growth and transformation, exactly the right experience to lead the combined company into its next phase. Hervé S., President and CEO of Emerald, will transition to a senior advisor to the combined company at close. The foundation he has helped build over the last five years will help to define what comes next. As a 95% remote organization, Questex recognizes the importance of taking care of our mental health, especially in a world where work and home often blur together. Mental exhaustion, constant screen time, and the feeling of always being “on” are very real experiences for many remote workers. This month is a reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, and create space to recharge.
