Today, Prism Electric turns 32! We’re celebrating the amazing people who have made this journey possible — our team, our customers, and everyone who has been part of Prism along the way. Here's to 32 more!
About us
Our story began in 1994 with a simple vision: Build a company that does things right. Blake Combs focused on creating a team driven by confidence, humility, and passion. We started small with a national account contract to install energy-efficient lighting in JC Penney’s stores, and have grown into a thriving electrical contractor with over 2,100 dedicated employees. Our reputation makes us the go-to electrical contractor for iconic projects like the Moody Center, DFW Airport, SMU Weber End Zone Complex, Winstar Casino and more. From massive electrical installations to friendly soccer match-ups, our NFM project team continues to prove what makes #TeamPrism so special. Huge thanks to Ann Woten, Chris Ortiz, and everyone who has stepped foot on this jobsite to get it done!
Nothing better than supporting both my teams: Team Warehouse AND Team Retail. We held a fun event last Friday, had Prism soccer jerseys made, and participated in a little friendly competition between both buildings…. Which led to a tie and of course an upcoming finale to be planned. All in all im so proud of every single person that has stepped foot on this jobsite and has played a role in building the community of Cedar Park. 1.1 million sq ft in 14 months, over 250+ branch panels, 3 miles of track lighting, 980 stem fixtures, many phased turnovers, and so many other crazy statistics to list and this group has risen above it all and knocked it out of the park. Thank you Chris Ortiz for leading the charge and being an exceptional person to work alongside with. ((Also peep Heidi Benitez my honorary team member always and forever 🥹)) #TeamPrism #NFM Prism Electric

Behind every project we complete, there's a team of people who made it happen. 🙌 Superintendents and Project Managers. Estimators and Apprentices. Admin and field crews. Different roles, different days - but all part of the same Prism family. We love what we do, and we love who we do it with. That energy shows up in every job we take on and in the way we treat the people we work for. If you've worked with Prism Electric, you know. And if you haven't yet - we'd love to show you what we mean.
