The Pilgrim’s Ellijay, GA, team recently gathered at the Gilmer County Fairgrounds for their annual Family Fun Day, complete with a Kentucky Derby theme. Team members and their families enjoyed a day filled with food, bluegrass music, games, bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting, snow cones and more. From special event keepsakes to unforgettable memories with loved ones, the celebration was all about showing appreciation for our team and strengthening the connections that make our community so special. At Pilgrim’s, we know our people are our greatest strength, and events like Family Fun Day are a reminder that we're more than coworkers – we’re family.

The skills developed through National 4-H Council go far beyond the show ring. For Susanna Wright, Senior Marketing Manager at Pilgrim’s, 4-H provided hands-on experiences that taught the importance of preparation, hard work and perseverance. Those lessons continue to guide her career today. “4-H was fantastic in terms of teaching the importance of preparation and planning for a future goal. If you put the work into your project throughout the year, it showed and often paid off by the time the fair came around. I still take that lesson with me today in my role at Pilgrim’s today.” From raising market animals to building leadership and communication skills, 4-H helps young people develop the confidence and work ethic needed to succeed in any path they choose. Leadership, collaboration and continuous improvement were on full display at the Pilgrim's annual Complex Manager Meeting in Louisville, KY. Complex leaders from across the business came together to share best practices, solve challenges and align on the company's organizational theme for the year, Legacy. From safety and team member engagement to digital transformation and long-term growth initiatives, the meeting reinforced the commitment of Pilgrim's leaders to building a stronger future together.

At Pilgrim's, safety starts with our team members. Recently, Julio Duran, a maintenance team member at our Enterprise, AL, facility, was recognized for identifying a potential safety hazard that could have led to injury or equipment damage. When Julio noticed a structural issue in the facility roof, he immediately reported it, helping the team take swift action to pause operations, complete repairs and ensure the site was safe for both team members and product. For his proactive approach and commitment to doing the right thing, Julio was named Enterprise's Shining Star. His actions are a great example of the ownership and safety-first mindset that helps protect our people every day. Please join us in congratulating Julio on this well-deserved recognition and thanking him for making safety a priority.

Recently, our Broadway, VA, team partnered with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank to help distribute meals to families in need. Broadway served 96 households, reaching 402 individuals throughout the community. Keep up the good work, Broadway!

As we wrap up our 2026 Pilgrim's Intern Spotlight series, we want to recognize the incredible talent, dedication and fresh perspectives our interns have brought to our teams this summer. From maintenance and quality assurance to operations and HR, these students have gained hands-on experience while making meaningful contributions across our facilities. Their hard work, curiosity and commitment to learning have left a lasting impact on our business and the people they worked alongside.
