Last night we had the opportunity to cater a dinner in the Fruit & Vegetable Garden at the Obama Foundation Presidential Center—a fitting backdrop for a menu rooted in seasonality, thoughtful sourcing, and letting great ingredients speak for themselves. Our farm-to-table approach isn’t reserved for one type of event or menu. It’s part of how we think about food every day: working with what’s in season, sourcing with intention, and creating dishes that feel connected to the time and place in which they’re served. Peak season, straight from the source. 🌿 A true farm-to-table dinner at Mick Klug Farms celebrating the farmers, chefs, and ingredients that make Chicago’s local food community so special. Chefs Devon Quinn of Eden & Paramount Events, Stephanie Izard of Girl & the Goat, César Murillo of North Pond, Leigh Omilinsky of Daisies, and Javauneeka Jacobs of Frontera Grill came together for a family-style dinner built entirely around Green City Market farmers and ingredients harvested at the height of the season. What made this evening so special was the connection between the people growing the food and the chefs preparing it. Ingredients came straight from local farms, harvested at their peak and brought to the table in a setting that could only happen here, on the land and in the heart of the growing season.
