Nexleaf and Rwanda are digitally transforming medical equipment management! 🏥 📱 💉 Learn about Rwanda's unique path to a digitally transformed vaccine cold chain ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gukEVgJT Nexleaf technology mobilizes real-time data from key medical equipment, like vaccine refrigerators, to alert health workers when equipment breaks down. But data doesn't fix equipment. People do. That's why Nexleaf launched Rapid Response & Repair (R3), with support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to co-create solutions with countries to maximize the impact of equipment data. Our partners in Rwanda are leading the way, with customized innovations designed to fit the needs and capacity of their immunization system. Two key examples: ✅ Empowering nurses to troubleshoot equipment with on-demand digital tools ✅ Implementing QR codes to track inventory & equipment history Thanks to Rwanda Country Manager Moses Kasigazi and the entire R3 team for this exciting update. We're excited for even more impact to come. #CountriesLead #CountryFirst #CountryLed #DigitalTransformation #DataForGood #TechForGood #GlobalHealth #VaccinesWork

What is Operational AI for healthcare? It's what keeps the lights on, the machines running, the spare parts arriving, the solar panels maintained. It's what drives specific health worker actions to manage and repair medical equipment. In other words, Operational AI provides the infrastructure needed for Clinical AI - and indeed, all clinical care - to succeed. #OperationalAI #OpAI #AIForHealthcare #AIForGood
This Gates Foundation and OpenAI partnership stood out to me for how it highlights practical, *operational uses of AI focused on making health systems work better* day to day, not just experimental or flashy ideas. Too many AI initiatives focus on cool clinical use cases (think cancer diagnosis, when there is no treatment) or unnecessarily complex predictive models (think predicting a failure, when there is no solution). What we need is more of the unsexy *operational use cases* that help health workers in their day to day tasks like keeping records updated, making requests, and coordinating care. As Bill Gates put it, "the goal is to make the work there much higher quality, and if possible, twice as efficient as it is today". In an article by Reuters, that goal is echoed by Rwanda’s Minister of ICT & Innovation, Paula Ingabire, who describes responsible AI as a way "to reduce the burden on healthcare workers, to improve the quality of care, and to reach more patients." In a moment of shrinking aid and growing system strain, this is the kind of AI application that really matters! #AIforHealth #HealthWorkforce #ResponsibleAI #OperationalAI #AIforActualGood Full articles: https://lnkd.in/gJw364w9 https://lnkd.in/gKzxFMa3

Improving Connectivity for a Data-Driven Vaccine Cold Chain in Pakistan! 📈 💉 📶 Nexleaf's Country Manager for Pakistan Shaji Abbas Malik continues to improve the effectiveness of one of the world's largest ColdTrace deployments. Shaji recently supported two districts of Punjab - District Layyah and District Jhelum - to ensure ColdTrace devices installed in health facilities are sending continuous data. Nexleaf's ColdTrace connects clinics anywhere in the world - even off-grid and hard-to-reach locations - by mobilizing data from vaccine refrigerators. 🏔️ 🏝️ 📶 ColdTrace sends data on equipment performance and clinic power to stakeholders at every level of the health system, every ten minutes, every day. Very exciting to see this big announcement from the Gates Foundation, OpenAI, and Rwanda, all partnering to launch Horizon 1000! Watch the video ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gN-4aDwj #AIForHealthcare #GlobalHealth #AIForGood
Great announcement in a Davos Panel by Bill Gates just now to work with Open AI to improve health delivery in Africa. They are starting in Rwanda and expanding to other countries, companies and also sectors—education and agriculture. Paula Ingabire lays out the technology first mindset in Rwanda which has been the reason they have been first in so many things such as our drone based delivery, real time mapping of ambulances, etc.

The first pillar of the new strategy from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance reads: "At the heart of the Gavi Leap is a new country operating model that places countries first by increasing resources at the decision-making discretion of countries," indicating a major shift for how countries manage their vaccine cold chain assets and distribution infrastructure. At Nexleaf, we've seen how country ownership is critical for cold chain technology solutions to reach their full potential. The Gavi Leap strategy includes some big, important changes for the way immunization resources flow around the world. Major highlights include: ➡️ Country First - countries lead in decision-making and spending ➡️ Embracing the Intelligent Age - tapping the emerging power of AI Check out the strategy brochure from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance below! #Gavi #VaccinesWork #CountryFirst #CountriesLead #AIForGood #AIForHealthcare
Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance is hitting the ground running with the launch of our 2026-2030 strategy which further places country ownership at the heart of the Gavi model, increases focus on protecting the most vulnerable in fragile and humanitarian settings and expands equitable access to key vaccines. Through the #GaviLeap, we are putting in place an ambitious programme of reforms that will enable countries to have increased agency and ownership over use of resources and decreased administrative burden. These reforms are well under way, and I look forward to building on this progress to build a more resilient and effective global health system: one that delivers tangible results for those who need it most: https://bit.ly/4qQHiuB

💡 🩻 Phoebe Khagame from the Oxygen Alliance shared this compelling article on the human cost of broken medical equipment worldwide. It's a must-read for everyone making strategic investments to improve human health. Whether it's an incubator in the NICU, a vaccine refrigerator, or an oxygen concentrator, the need is clear. As the article states: "Modern healthcare relies on machines. But in many places, the systems needed to keep those machines working – trained people, spare parts, and proper support – aren’t there. So hospitals end up with 'equipment graveyards': heaps of broken machines that could have saved lives. In some countries, up to half of all hospital equipment doesn’t work." Broken equipment is a global crisis. Health workers need better data, on-demand training, and innovative tools to help them detect equipment failures, access spare parts, and fix what's broken. At Nexleaf, we partner with Ministries of Health to ensure health workers have everything they need to keep vaccine refrigerators and other key medical equipment up and running. Check out the Oxygen Alliance, and read the article below to learn why biomedical technicians need better resources to maintain medical equipment and save more lives. #HealthWorkers #SkillsForTheFuture #OxygenAlliance #BiomedicalTechnicians #HealthSystemStrengthening #VaccinesWork https://lnkd.in/gtAN_W-4
