Building a lifecycle marketing team isn't just about knowing you need more support. It's knowing what role you actually need next. That's why Mondo partnered with Phi Pham and the Verbose team on its new Lifecycle Team Playbook, combining their deep lifecycle marketing expertise with Mondo's salary benchmarking and hiring expertise. And one of our favorite parts of this collaboration? Learning from each other. No matter how much experience you have in your field, there's always value in bringing different areas of expertise to the table. Working with the Verbose team gave us a deeper look at the nuances of building and scaling lifecycle organizations, while we were able to bring a hiring and compensation lens to the conversation. The result is a practical guide to how lifecycle teams can evolve as their needs become more complex, from establishing a dedicated owner to adding specialized capabilities and senior leadership. Inside, you'll find: → The five core capabilities lifecycle teams need → When to hire a generalist, specialist, or leader → How to identify the capability gaps holding your team back → When to add headcount vs. invest in better tools → How AI fits into the lifecycle organization → Salary benchmarks provided by Mondo → Ready-to-use job description templates A big thank you to the Verbose team for bringing us into this project, sharing their expertise, and reminding us why some of the best resources come from combining different perspectives. Comment “TEAM” and we'll send you the full Lifecycle Team Playbook.

Proud to contribute Mondo's salary benchmarking expertise to this new resource from Phi Pham and the Verbose team. The Lifecycle Team Playbook tackles an important hiring question: As your lifecycle function grows, who should you hire next? From team structure and capability gaps to salary benchmarks and ready-to-use job descriptions, it's a practical resource for marketing leaders building for their next stage of growth. Comment “TEAM” for the full guide.
I spent 3 months building this Lifecycle Team Playbook and it’s finally ready! I’m excited to share it with the lifecycle community as a practical resource for building, structuring, and scaling lifecycle marketing teams at every stage of growth, including role recommendations, nationwide salary benchmarks, and ready-to-use job description templates for common roles at each phase. Carlos Govantes and I built this by drawing on more than 30 years of combined experience building lifecycle teams and organizations. It’s the resource we wish we had earlier in our careers and the same kind of strategic guidance we now use every day at Verbose to help clients structure, scale, and strengthen their lifecycle organizations. We also partnered with Mondo to provide salary benchmarks for each role, drawing from millions of nationwide compensation data points and national market averages to make the ranges as grounded and current as possible. What we’ve learned is that the hardest part is rarely recognizing that you need more support. It’s knowing what kind of support to add, when to add it, and how to build a team that matches the size of the opportunity. Hire too early, and you add unnecessary complexity. Hire too late, and you leave growth on the table. Build the wrong structure, and even a talented team can struggle to make an impact. Inside the guide, we cover: → The five capabilities every lifecycle team needs → How to choose between a generalist, specialist, or leader → How your business model should shape the team → When to hire versus invest in better tools → Where and how AI can meaningfully add value → Salary benchmarks for roles across levels → Ready-to-use job description templates for each role and stage It’s the resource we wish we had earlier in our careers, and I’m excited to finally share it with the lifecycle community, hopefully making the process of building and scaling these teams a little less confusing for the next generation of leaders. 👀 Comment “TEAM” and I’ll send you access to the full guide.

Great interview questions reveal more than experience. They reveal mindset. This week, Mondo Talent Acquisition Partner Caroline shares one of her go-to interview questions: What's the last new thing you learned? She's listening for curiosity, self-awareness, and a genuine commitment to growth. How would you answer? Drop it in the comments.
