    What new capabilities are unlocked when high-quality, narrow bandwidth entangled photons can be broadcast from a satellite, a drone, or a remote sensor instead of a data center rack? We're working with Monarch Quantum, combining their manufacturing and miniaturization expertise with our Carina system, the hardware that anchors the largest entanglement-based quantum networks in the world.   • Last week, Monarch Quantum hosted faculty and STEM students from California State University San Marcos' College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Summer Scholars Program for a facility tour and panel on what it takes to build a career in quantum.     Join Our Team We at Oratomic are looking for exceptional individuals to join us in building the world’s first fault-tolerant quantum computer. A quantum computer, that is fault-tolerant and capable of useful applications, would enable a fundamentally new model of computation that could have consequences far beyond what we can predict today. We believe this will be one of our generation’s defining technological achievements. We also believe it can be realized with a small, focused team. This is possible because our recent advances have resulted in a substantially simpler approach to quantum error correction, based on reconfigurable atomic arrays trapped in focused laser beams. The problem involves frontier research and technology across advanced optical systems, electronics, atomic physics, mathematical algorithms, and error correction, all combined in a complex integrated fashion to realize this new type of computer. We are building artificial intelligence systems to automate our research and the design of the quantum computer. We have raised a $300 million Series A, co-led by ARCH Venture Partners, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, alongside Bezos Expeditions, Index Ventures, General Catalyst, Lowercarbon Capital, Bain Capital, Formation, Nebular, David and Scott Aaronson, and others. Our objective is straightforward: build a fault-tolerant quantum computer. We are not pursuing intermediate products or commercial systems along the way. We are seeking exceptional generalists, scientists, engineers, and technicians who enjoy solving difficult problems, working across disciplines in a tight-knit team, and building things that have not existed before.   • Today, our Chairman & CEO, Dr. Tim Day joined with U.S. government and industry leaders in Washington, D.C. for the White House Summit on American Quantum Innovation. Dr. Tim Day took part in the panel on Supply Chain & Workforce, a conversation focused on one of the most consequential challenges facing our industry: building a resilient, domestic supply chain and cultivating the specialized talent pipeline needed to scale quantum technology from research labs into deployed systems. The summit follows two executive orders signed by President Trump in June aimed at strengthening U.S. quantum research ecosystem and accelerating the transition to post-quantum cryptography across critical infrastructure.
