Look what just arrived for our new automated anodizing line! The first piece of equipment is now in place at our Florida plant, and it’s exciting to see months of planning starting to become a reality. This is just the beginning. We’ll be sharing more as the new line takes shape and we continue working toward our mid-2027 launch. Stay tuned. There’s a lot more to come!

At MI Metals, long careers are something we truly value. We’re proud to have many employees who have spent decades growing with us, building their careers and helping shape who we are today. This month, we are celebrating several incredible milestones across our plants. Thomas O’Brien marked 40 years with MI Metals, growing through multiple roles and now serving as Group Lead in the Paint Department at our Tennessee plant. His dedication and experience continue to make a meaningful impact. We also celebrated the retirement of Wanda “Gail” England after 42 years in Tennessee. From her start as a Packer to her role as a Saw Operator, Gail’s hard work and loyalty have left a lasting mark on our team. At our Florida plant, later this month we will say goodbye to Villanueva Duran after 21 years of service. Villa spent his career as a Stretcher on the Press, contributing every day with consistency and commitment. We’re proud to share that Brook Massey , Owner and President of MI Metals, has received the AEC Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his dedication and service to the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC). Brook’s passion for the industry runs deep. For more than 20 years, he has been dedicated to advancing and protecting the aluminum extrusion industry, while building strong relationships and helping open doors for the next generation to discover the opportunities it offers. His commitment to fair trade and to promoting the value of this industry reflects how much he truly cares about its future. In accepting the award, Brook shared that he’s “not going anywhere,” a reflection of his continued commitment to the industry and his plans to remain actively involved and engaged for years to come. We are celebration another great MI Metals employee. Congratulations to Robert, our Tennessee Plant’s Employee of the Month! Robert has gone above and beyond to support the team. While continuing to run the press, he stepped in to help fill operational gaps by assisting with scrap trailers, supporting the forklift team, and helping keep racks, ovens, and scrap areas organized. What really sets Robert apart is his positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever help is needed.
