  • Introducing Matic Cues: a new way to control Matic using voice & gestures. Spilled your coffee? Point at it, and say, “Hey Matic, Clean this.” We raised $115M and spent 9 years building the world’s first intuitive home robot that you can talk to. It hears you, triangulates the location you’re pointing to in 3D, goes, and cleans it on its own. Matic Cues understand 70+ languages so you can simply say: 1. "Hey Matic, come here" - it locates your voice, turns, and comes towards you. 2. "Hey Matic, follow me" and start walking. Matic follows. 3. "Hey Matic, go clean the living room". It knows your home so it just navigates to the living room and cleans it. It's easy enough for a 5 year old or an 80 year old. And Matic is 100% privacy-focused. Every data Matic collects is processed on the device and is deleted and discarded in real-time. It also cleans better than any other robot vacuum with 8x the airflow, specialized algorithms for rugs, corners, toekicks, and mopping. And gets better every month with software updates. 13,000 families use and love Matic. And WIRED gave it a 10/10 rating - a first in 17 years. Buy yours at maticrobots.com If you don't love it after 6 months, we'll give you a full refund. To celebrate this, we're cleaning 300 homes in SF and NYC with Matic. Comment "Matic" below and we'll send you the link. Once you sign up, we'll show up at your door with Matic and let it do its thing.

  • Welcome to the team Hariharan P ! Super excited to strengthen our reliability engineering team and continue making delightful and dependable robots!

Excited to share that I’ve joined Matic Robots as a Robotics Reliability Engineer! Home robotics done right is a genuinely hard engineering problem and that’s exactly why I’m here. Matic’s building something people will actually want in their homes, with a team that brings real depth and rigor to hardware reliability. Time to test, break, and harden the next generation of home robots that you’ll love!

  • Great teams get you to the first 10,000! 🚀

This week, Matic Robots shipped its 10,000th robot. When we started building Matic in late 2018, there was no product, no factory, and certainly no customer shipments. Just a small team trying to answer a deceptively simple question: What would it take to build a robot that people actually trust to clean their homes every day? The photos below are from those early days. Building test environments by hand. Prototyping hardware. Conducting customer interviews. Debating product decisions. Tearing down walls and building new spaces. Lots of ideas. Lots of experiments. Lots of things that didn't work. Over the years, those experiments slowly turned into a product. We started shipping to customers in November 2024. Looking through these photos, it's remarkable how much happened between them. Entire systems were redesigned multiple times. New ideas replaced old ones. New challenges appeared at every stage. The product evolved, and so did the team behind it. A special shoutout to the incredible Production team that helped transform prototypes and engineering builds into a product that can be manufactured, tested, and shipped every single day. Great engineering gets you to the first unit. Great teams get you to the first 10,000! It's also a reminder of how much work still lies ahead🚀✨

  • "It's the closest thing to a house that cleans itself." That's Tim Ferriss, on his latest podcast, talking about Matic. Tim put out a note on X asking if people liked it, and the response was overwhelming. Not to mention, he got texts from a dozen friends saying how much they love their Matic. We've spent years obsessing over the details so that cleaning just happens. Hearing that from Tim and from the people in his world means everything to us. • Why would a company that makes autonomous robot vacuums celebrate Mother's Day? It's not because of the stigma that mothers clean more, even though on average, they do. It's because being a mother, taking care of family, and carrying a home, is a superpower. And the families who get to experience it? They're the lucky ones. Both of our founders are family men who love their wives deeply. Matic was personal from the start. Built around the women in their lives, with one question at the center: Does this actually give her more time to do what she loves? Matic was never meant to be an object. It was a promise, to take something off her plate and actually take it off. To give her a peace of mind in her own home. And Matic Care felt like a no-brainer. Because in the same way mothers give unconditional love regardless of the mess or the mistake, we want every family to feel that same grace with their Matic. Happy Mother's Day to every mother, and everyone who stepped up to become one. You're the reason we built this. And the reason we keep going, across 7,000 homes that have trusted us to do just that

In a new alumni spotlight video, Anshuman Kumar (MIIPS '16), Head of Hardware at Matic Robots, shares how the Master of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services (MIIPS) program transformed his approach to product development. Coming from a mechanical engineering background, Anshuman sought to understand user experience, industrial design, and the emotional side of products. Through MIIPS, he expanded his skill set beyond engineering and learned how to build products that resonate with real users. One of the most defining moments of his journey at CMU was leading a large interdisciplinary team in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition, where collaboration, systems thinking, and innovation led to global recognition.
