More than 1,000 lives have now been lost to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. As families grieve and healthcare workers continue serving on the front lines, the need for support remains urgent. Lions Clubs International Foundation has already awarded grants to help Lions respond immediately. Together, Lions are delivering personal protective equipment, contactless thermometers, handwashing supplies and other essential resources to healthcare facilities, border screening locations and communities at risk. As relentless wildfires tear through France and Spain, families are fleeing their homes. Over 300,000 people have been displaced. While firefighters battle towering flames fueled by extreme heat and unyielding winds, entire communities remain under threat. At the same time, catastrophic flooding in India's Assam state has claimed at least 50 lives and displaced more than 700,000 people. Lions Clubs International Foundation is mobilizing disaster relief funds to support Lions on the ground as they deliver emergency assistance and help communities in affected areas recover.
