We’re going to miss having you around, Mariela! Thanks for spending your summer with us and for bringing your energy, curiosity, and perspective to LAZ. Creating opportunities for the next gen of talent is a big part of what makes our internships at LAZ so special. We’re grateful you chose to spend your time learning with us, and we can’t wait to see where you go next! #BetterTogether #TheLAZway Suffolk University
On the last day of my internship, I took one final photo of my desk before leaving. It was definitely a bittersweet moment, knowing that a summer filled with so many new experiences, lessons, and memories had come to an end. I came into this summer hoping to gain experience, strengthen my skills, and learn more about what it means to work in a professional environment. Looking back, I’m leaving with so much more than that. Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to strengthen my Excel and analytical skills, gain exposure to the budgeting process, and see firsthand how much goes on behind the scenes to support a business. While I’m grateful for everything I learned through the work I was given, some of the most valuable lessons came from the people around me. I was fortunate to be surrounded by people who were always willing to answer my questions, share their knowledge, and make me feel welcome from the very beginning. I learned so much simply from observing the people around me, from the way they worked together and communicated to the way they handled challenges when they came up. Those are lessons I know I’ll carry with me throughout my career. I’m so grateful to LAZ Parking and everyone who made this summer such a meaningful experience. A special thank you to Carolyn Maloney for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the company, and to Corbin Lehman for his guidance throughout my internship and for always taking the time to share his knowledge with me. As I close out this chapter, I’m leaving with new skills, new perspectives, and so much gratitude for the people who made this experience what it was. I’m excited to carry everything I’ve learned with me into what comes next. 🤍
