The passage of AB 2215 will help ensure continued water supply reliability for State Water Project-dependent agencies like LVMWD. Read more about it via our friends at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California 👇
As California faces unprecedented water challenges, forward-thinking policies like AB 2215 are essential to ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for all communities. Shivaji Deshmukh, General Manager of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and Valerie Pryor, General Manager of Zone 7 Water Agency, emphasize the importance of AB 2215 in a Maven’s Notebook op-ed. AB 2215 extends a deadline on an existing State Water Project water right to allow the state time to design, test, and permit potential climate adaptation solutions on the State Water Project. Their piece spotlights how AB 2215 will serve to advance transparency and collaboration across the water sector, while strengthening the management and reliability of the State Water Project. The State Water Contractors echo their call for common sense, practical solutions like AB 2215 to secure a resilient water supply for all Californians. Read the op-ed to learn more about how AB 2215 is critical for California’s water future: https://lnkd.in/gbtiNqvV #AB2215 #CaliforniaWater #StateWaterProject

🎉 Honoring a True Partner In Water This week, the Las Virgenes-Triunfo Joint Powers Authority (JPA) directors and staff had the privilege of presenting a Proclamation of Recognition to Congresswoman Julia Brownley in honor of her extraordinary commitment to water security, water recycling, and the communities we serve. Congresswoman Brownley has been a steadfast partner of the JPA — from her days in the California State Legislature to her distinguished service in the U.S. House of Representatives. Her tireless advocacy for federal investment in water recycling through the Bureau of Reclamation has been instrumental in advancing the Pure Water Project Las Virgenes-Triunfo — a transformative initiative that will provide a new local, drought-resilient drinking water supply for the region. As Congresswoman Brownley departs office, we wanted to share our deep gratitude for her vision, her voice, and her partnership. Thank you, Congresswoman Brownley! 💧 Triunfo Water & Sanitation District Andy Coradeschi Carl Jarecky, • MBA/MA Jay Lewitt Leon E.
