Word of warning: I'm about to veer wildly off the usual business-related content... I'm proud to share that my photograph, "Holding Ground," has been accepted into a juried exhibition at The Griffin Museum of Photography. I took this image in 2024, just after a rainstorm, when a large puddle created the reflection you see at the bottom of the frame. Like most of my photography, it was taken in the streets of Harvard Square. Getting the angle right meant soaking my shoes—and the bottom of my camera!—but it was worth it. Still one of my favorites.

At Labshares, Dan will help keep our labs running smoothly by focusing on daily lab operations, EHS, facility support, and operational coordination. Prior to joining Labshares, he spent 4 years in lab operations at a biotech incubator, where he supported project management and administration. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and sports. We're excited to have Dan on the team - welcome to Labshares!

We're proud to announce that the U.S. FDA has granted Emergency Use Authorization for our OraQuick™ Ebola 2.0 Rapid Antigen Test. This authorization comes at a critical moment. As our CEO Carrie Eglinton Manner stated, “This outbreak is particularly challenging due to the Bundibugyo virus, which has no approved vaccine or targeted treatment, reinforcing the critical need for rapid, accurate diagnostics that can detect this virus and support timely containment efforts.” The OraQuick™ Ebola 2.0 Rapid Antigen Test offers increased sensitivity compared to our previous version and detects all four Ebola viruses known to cause disease in humans — though it does not differentiate between viruses — delivering results in 30 minutes with no instruments, dedicated laboratory space, or power source required. Developed in partnership with BARDA, this test reflects our mission to deliver rapid, reliable diagnostics where they're needed most. We are ready to scale potential production to meet urgent global demand.
