Ten years ago, grassroots activists from around the world went to Paris and told the truth about the climate crisis. The Paris Accords that followed kowtowed to corporate interests, weren't legally binding, and had no mention of fossil fuels anywhere in the text of the agreement. They knew what would happen. Millions of people are living with Long COVID—many still searching for answers. Kontent Films partnered with the PolyBio Research Foundation to create a fundraising film supporting critical research into the causes of, and potential cures for, Long COVID. By translating complex science into a human story, the campaign helped fully fund the LIINC Research Program. A holiday gift to y’all! Not sure if anyone knew but I’ve been an OG collaborator with the Redford Center, founded by Bob and his son Jamie. With my first narrative film going through the filmmaker labs and premiering at Sundance, I was then tapped to do short films and ultimately a feature in 2012 called Watershed - Exploring a New Water Ethic for the New West. RC just celebrated their 20th anniversary, which was sadly, also a celebration of life with Bob’s passing this year, and Jamie’s passing five years ago. A huge loss for all of us. I was asked to give a toast, having worked with both of them, which was a huge honor, and yesterday I received notice they are offering to screen two of their films for free till 12/26. One of them being being Jamie's film, Happening, and the other, Watershed: https://lnkd.in/gH7K6e-w It was a challenge doing a positive film about water in the West, but for you impact producers, the impact campaign raised $32M for restoration efforts in the delta!
