36% of industry respondents couldn’t tell us whether their GenAI investment had generated any return. That was the finding from last year’s IIS Innovation Report that generated the most conversation. Not the 87% pursuing GenAI. It was the gap between that number, the quarter that had reached production, and the 36% that still could not say what any of it was worth. That gap is why I’m leading the International Insurance Society Innovation Working Group for a second year. The survey for the next report is now live, and we have sharpened the questions. If you take part, the report will help you understand: • Whether your peers are further along in moving from experimentation to measurable impact • Where agentic AI is genuinely reaching production across insurance workflows, and where it quietly is not • What peers are actually measuring across productivity, customer, underwriting and financial outcomes These are increasingly the questions reaching board papers.
