Get to know Maria and hear about her journey in the interview below. ⬇️ Q: What degree program did you complete and why did you choose that degree program? A: I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. I chose this degree because I've always enjoyed the creative and strategic aspects of marketing. After working in marketing for almost 15 years, I wanted to build on my professional experience with a better understanding of marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and global marketing. Q: How do you hope to use the knowledge you gained in your degree program in your role at Honor Foods, and what are your future goals? A: The knowledge I gained through my degree program has helped me develop a stronger understanding of strategic marketing and the value of building meaningful vendor partnerships. In my role at Honor Foods, I hope to continue using those skills to collaborate more closely with our vendor partners to develop marketing programs that support their brands. My education also strengthened my analytical and communication skills, allowing me to better evaluate marketing opportunities and build stronger relationships with our vendors. As I continue to grow with the company, my goal is to take on more strategic responsibilities focused on vendor marketing, partnership development, and creating innovative programs that deliver value for our customers and our vendor partners. Q: Can you tell us a little bit about Honor Foods' tuition reimbursement program and how it helped you? A: Honor Foods' tuition reimbursement program made earning my degree much more attainable. Balancing work, school, and personal responsibilities can be challenging, and having the company's financial support allows me to focus on my education without the added stress of covering all the costs on my own. Q: What advice would you give to other Team Members who are considering going back to school using the tuition reimbursement program? It takes commitment and good time management, but it's incredibly rewarding. Don't be afraid to take that first step, even if it feels overwhelming at first.
