All HCRS offices will be closed this Thursday, August 20, for our annual staff picnic. Our team will be spending the day together and connecting with co-workers from across the agency before returning on Friday, August 21. ☀️ While we're away, support is still available when you need it: 🧡 For urgent mental health or substance use support, call 988 or the HCRS 24/7 Crisis Line at 800-622-4235. 💚 Developmental Services and Children’s Services clients can also reach our SAFE Team at 802-886-4511. A special thank you goes out to the staff who will continue supporting clients in our 24/7 programs during the office closure. 🫶 We’re so grateful for your commitment and for the care you provide each day! Thank you for understanding, we’ll see you on Friday. 😊 #OfficeClosure #StaffPicnic #HCRSvt hcrs.org

About us
HCRS is the community mental health and developmental services agency for Windsor and Windham Counties of Vermont. Founded in 1967, our non-profit agency serves over 4,000 individuals annually through its key programs for mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities. At HCRS, we think a lot about CHOICE. We know employees have a choice to stay or leave, we know candidates have a choice to join HCRS or another organization, and we make choices about who we hire. One of our key responsibilities is to develop programs, plans, and policies that positively impact our ability to attract, develop, and retain the highest quality staff possible. The design of our policies and practices are to create a work place where people can come to work, do a good job, and feel supported. The work of many of our employees is challenging and we believe it's important for HCRS to provide support to employees whenever and wherever we can.

The way we support our community starts with how we support our staff. 🫶 For Phill, it’s things like HCRS’ tire reimbursement program; practical benefits that actually help. Taking care of our team isn’t a bonus here, it’s a core part of how we operate! 🌳 🔍 Watch Phill’s video here: https://lnkd.in/eVknhaxD #Benefits #NowHiring #VermontJobs #WorkWithPurpose #MentalHealthCare #HCRSvt hcrs.org

Need to call a landlord? A potential employer? A doctor's office? A crisis line? Most of us reach for our pocket without thinking. For someone without reliable access to a phone, those everyday calls can become major obstacles. 🚧 That's why several organizations in the Upper Valley now offer free public phones that anyone can use for outgoing calls. Because sometimes, 1 phone call is all it takes. 💚 📞 Find a phone: Listen Community Services (Lebanon, NH) Lebanon Public Library (Lebanon, NH) Kilton Public Library (West Lebanon, NH) Upper Valley Haven Community Food Market (White River Junction, VT) Photo credit: Jennifer Hauck, Valley News #AccessMatters #HumanServices #StrongerTogether #HCRSvt hcrs.org

When our staff learn, our community benefits! 🚓💚 Our Police Social Work (PSW) team recently attended the 5th Annual PSW Conference in New Haven, Connecticut, where professionals from across the country came together to share ideas, research, and practical strategies for supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, substance use concerns, homelessness, and other complex situations. New knowledge and fresh perspectives help our team continue strengthening partnerships with local law enforcement and connecting community members to the care and resources they need, when they need them most. We're proud to invest in ongoing learning that helps us better serve our neighbors every day! 😊 https://lnkd.in/e8DpmSth #HCRSvt #MentalHealthMatters #PublicSafety #Partnership hcrs.org
