Just attended my first Dreamforce and it was nothing short of incredible!
It felt like the Super Bowl for tech - Marc Benioff managed to bring together some of the most inspiring leaders from across across the world:
Jensen Huang
Dario Amodei
Sam Altman
Tony Robbins, Matthew McConaughey, and many more.
Star-studded lineup.
The coolest part for me was actually getting to spend time with leaders from some of the largest enterprises and hearing how they’re thinking about enterprise-wide AI transformations.
A few key takeaways:
1. We are probably <36 months away from something that looks like AGI.
But the tone has definitely shifted from “this is coming one day” to “you should probably start preparing now.”
2. The top enterprises are re-evaluating everything and are looking to the best startups in every sector to help. Legora for legal, Rillet for enterprise finance, Profound for martech, Listen Labs for user research and many more are leading the way.
Interestingly enough, it was the first conferences we went to where folks started recognizing Fuse AI for being one of the emerging leaders in sales-tech. 🏎️ 🏎️
3. Organizations are becoming headless
The future probably isn’t employees logging into 20 different SaaS tools every day. The tools sit underneath.
The data, permissions, workflows and actions get exposed.
Then the interface becomes Claude, Slack, Salesforce, an internal agent, or whatever comes next.
The UI matters less.
The infrastructure underneath matters a lot more.
4. Tokenmaxxing is becoming a real thing in GTM too
If something can be solved by throwing more compute, more research or more agents at it, companies are increasingly going to do that.
A lot of work that used to take hours is quickly becoming cheap enough to just run continuously through AI agents, with AI-native teams focusing on high leverage activites.
5. Humans are still the future
This was probably my favourite part.
I don’t think the future is just replacing everyone with AI, it's giving great people significantly more leverage.
As AI adoption expands, this means higher quality products for enterprises, great access to software, and the ability to solve problems we didn't think where possible before. This will create more and higher impact work for humans, not less.
To drive this transformation, humans will still bring the vision, execution, taste, creativity, judgment, relationships and ambition.
Dreamforce made one thing pretty clear:
The next few years are going to be some of the most EXCITING years in history and we are still very early!
