"Musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders now cost the U.S. healthcare system more than $400 billion a year, and continue to increase...Physicians spend nearly 75% of their time on tasks unrelated to patient care, and the system is rife with unnecessary interventions, missed billing windows, and patients being routed to the wrong specialists." This is the mission that keeps the Flagler Health team up at night, a challenge that we are honored to take on. Thank you to Sooah Cho and the SignalFire team for believing in us during our early days. Proud to keep building together. https://lnkd.in/gdTybbSx

🎉 We're thrilled to double down on our investment in Flagler Health's $50 million Series B round alongside Steve Kraus at Bessemer Venture Partners after leading the Series A round. Flagler has been transforming the $400B+ musculoskeletal (MSK) market with their AI-native operating system. Albert Katz, CEO of Flagler Health, shares, "MSK is where the healthcare system's dysfunction is the most visible. We're the only platform built to fix it at the root." Flagler's platform is built on a vast dataset of 220M+ patient records with a compounding data advantage as thousands of providers across 36 states leverage Flagler to orchestrate their full patient lifecycle, from initial intake through triage, prior authorization, billing, and patient communications. Flagler's AI-native care delivery model results in a win-win-win for all stakeholders. 87% of patients reported improvement in pain, mood, sleep, or mobility. Flagler also generates up to $164,000 in average additional annual revenue per provider, while enabling payors to save tens of thousands of dollars per patient through Flagler’s MSK risk triage engine, which routes patients away from unnecessary surgeries to the right treatment at the right time. If you're interested in joining Flagler Health's mission, check out the open positions in the comments below. Thanks to Albert, Will Hu, and Leon Anijar for the partnership, and excited for the journey ahead together! 🚀

  • "The less clinical staff have to do, the better, which is exactly how Flagler Health's software works: entirely in the background. At Bessemer, our bet on Flagler is based on the belief that healthcare AI is moving toward a model where fewer human touchpoints are needed." Thank you Bessemer Venture Partners team for believing in us. The $400B musculoskeletal (MSK) market is broken, and we are here to fix it at the root. Care to join us? We are hiring.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) care is one of many specialty-specific clinical workflows in need of a healthcare AI model that actually does the work, not just surfaces it. A decade of health software was supposed to fix that, but instead just added another portal and login, while Medicare reimbursement for MSK care has fallen more than 20%. MSK is one of the biggest markets in medicine, with over half of US adults affected, $400B in annual spend, and 250K+ outpatient providers. We believe the winners will be deeply vertical systems that operate a specialty's workflow autonomously. Flagler Health’s AI is doing that work, running entirely in the background of a clinic's existing EMR—triage, patient follow-up, the call center, and the full revenue cycle. Altogether, Co-founders Albert Katz, Dr. Leon Anijar, and Will Hu bring years of lived experience and machine learning in disease detection and progression. Their backgrounds give Flagler a rare combination of operational, clinical, and technical credibility. This is why we’re proudly leading Flagler's $50M Series B. • We're proud to announce Flagler Health has raised $50M in Series B funding, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, marking a significant step forward in our mission to transform musculoskeletal (MSK) care with AI. MSK conditions affect more than half of U.S. adults and drive hundreds of billions in healthcare spend every year, yet the clinics treating those patients are running on outdated infrastructure. Flagler exists to fix that. In under three years, we've scaled to thousands of providers across 36+ states, driving real revenue gains and measurable improvements in patient outcomes. This round accelerates our mission to become the operating system for MSK care and more nationwide. A special thank you to Steve Kraus at Bessemer Venture Partners and all of our investors for backing this vision. The future of healthcare is clinician-led, AI-augmented, and patient-first. And at Flagler Health, we are building that future today. We believe technology should never replace the human connection at the center of medicine. Instead, it should give clinicians more time to listen, guide, and care. That is the foundation of the Flagler model.

Aging happens. It is non-negotiable. As a woman staring down 50, I have found myself asking a simple question: Can I hit the brakes, even just a little? That led me into the world of biohacking. Biohacking is not about chasing a magic pill or a pricey injection. It is about daily choices, consistent maintenance, and stacking small habits that support the body’s core functions, especially in three key areas: muscle, hormones, and pain.

  • The manual post-op call is a hidden tax on healthcare. We currently ask highly trained nurses to act like call center agents—dialing numbers, hitting busy signals, and leaving voicemails. It burns out clinical staff and wastes hours of skilled time. We found that the answer isn't replacing the human connection, but supporting it. By using voice AI that can handle interruptions ("barge-in" capability) and write directly to the EHR, the dynamic changes completely. Nurses can now scan a list of 40 patients in five minutes, focusing only on the two who actually reported issues. It’s about moving from robotic tasks to meaningful care. #HealthTech #Nursing #PatientExperience #AI

  • Scaling healthcare usually feels like hitting a wall because you simply cannot hire enough people to text every patient personally. If you try to automate it with bots, patients feel it instantly and they hate it. We have found that the secret is not more staff; it is a smarter intelligence layer. By using AI co-pilots and deep EMR integration, we have reached a point where one nurse can manage 150 patients while keeping the connection personal. The math actually works now. We use technology to handle the transcription and the charting so the humans can focus on the empathy. It turns a logistical nightmare into a streamlined revenue driver for the practice and a much better experience for the patient. This is the new standard for sustainable, patient-first care. #HealthTech #RemoteCare #ValueBasedCare #DigitalHealth
