Introducing Charge 50. Every year, EVCS brings together the people building the EV charging industry. The engineers, the policymakers, the investors, the operators getting chargers in the ground. This year, we're recognizing 50 of them. Charge 50 is a new industry list honoring the people driving EV charging forward across six areas: Technology & Innovation, Policy & Regulation, Infrastructure & Deployment, Finance & Investment, Sustainability & Grid Integration, and Industry Advocacy & Leadership. Here's how it works: anyone in the industry can nominate a peer, or put themselves forward. A panel of judges reviews every nomination and selects this year's Charge 50, revealed live on stage at EVCS 2027 in Las Vegas. Know someone who belongs on the list? Nominate them: https://lnkd.in/e4JqMMn7 #Charge50 #EVCS2027

"The best way to ensure an all-electric future is to ensure that all the businesses that are a component of that future are profitable and will survive". Rohan Puri, CEO and Co-Founder of Stable Auto, caught up with EVCS Editor Evie Kim Sing to discuss the importance of unlocking profitability in the EV charging segment. As the U.S. EV charging industry battles new headwinds in the face of shifting federal incentives, Rohan explains the importance of charging forecasting to boost revenue and propel EV adoption. Listen to the full interview at EVCS 2026 to hear how Stable Auto is leveraging AI and putting its faith in 'capitalism for good'. If you weren’t already convinced that EV adoption is essential to tackling climate change, new data from UC Santa Cruz reinforces the case. Researchers found that scrapping even a brand-new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle and replacing it with a battery electric vehicle (BEV) usually results in lower overall lifetime carbon emissions. Research like this proves the compelling case for accelerated adoption in the face of rising temperatures. Read the full article below to explore the study's key findings 👇 https://lnkd.in/eZ3TcWfx #EVs #GreenTransition #Electrification #EVCharging #EVCS2027 #Sustainability #BEV

"Is curbside charging the missing link for EV adoption in ultra-dense cities?" Owning an electric vehicle in New York City has long been a challenge; finding a parking spot is already tough enough, let alone one equipped with a charger. All of that could be about to change, following the announcement of NYC’s latest curbside charging initiative. The city is gearing up to install nearly 1,000 new charging points across all five boroughs, including 600 curbside chargers under its PlugNYC network. With New York’s current 88 Level 2 curbside chargers seeing staggering occupancy rates of 70% to 99%, the expansion is aimed directly at high-density residential areas, rideshare drivers, and underserved low-to-moderate-income communities. As NYC DOT Commissioner Mike Flynn notes, accelerating EV adoption requires making charging affordable, equitable, and seamlessly integrated into urban streetscapes. Read the full breakdown on how public-private collaboration is paving the way for scalable urban charging solutions. 🔗 to full article: https://lnkd.in/d_6zGhHX For sessions on urban charging and beyond, join us at EVCS 2027, 1-3 March in Las Vegas. #NYC #EVCS2026 #EVCS2027 #CurbsideCharging #EVCharging #Electrification #CleanTech #UrbanMobility #Infrastructure #Sustainability #PlugNYC
