Condor Energy is an Australian listed company with a mission to identify, explore and develop high impact energy assets.

About us

The Company is currently focused in progressing the 4,858km2 Technical Evaluation Agreement (TEA) area offshore Peru in the highly prospective Tumbes Basin. • Peru's renewed focus on energy security and domestic natural gas is an encouraging development for the country's energy sector. Proposed reforms aimed at strengthening investment certainty, encouraging exploration and supporting the development of domestic gas resources highlight the growing importance of reliable, locally produced energy. For Condor Energy, these themes align closely with our strategy. As we progress the commercialisation of our discovered gas resource and advance our broader exploration portfolio, a stable and supportive policy environment has the potential to accelerate investment, unlock new opportunities and contribute to Peru's long-term energy security. • An insightful overview of the positive changes taking place across Peru's energy sector. We believe the country is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for upstream investment, and Condor looks forward to playing a role in unlocking the potential of the Tumbes Basin.

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸, and small producing countries like 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘂  𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 more players to unlock their potential, as recent announcements confirm Perupetro has signed 𝟭𝟱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 in the last 3 years giving flexibility to companies that want to evaluate the potential of the country. These blocks have 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀; they are mostly subsurface studies. The contract lasts for 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, and the companies get the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗘&𝗣 contract at the end of it. The country now has 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗜𝗢𝗖𝘀: • 𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹, betting high on frontier offshore exploration in the Pacific • 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘀𝗼𝗹, expanding close to its current operations in Camisea, to the south • 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘃𝗿𝗼𝗻: farming in to the 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 offshore E&P blocks 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀: • 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 including Petrotal, Upland, Ponderosa • 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 producers and service companies from Colombia (Erazo, Andes) • 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 like Condor (Australia) or Tetra Energies (UK) Peru envisioned that to be competitive, it needed to: • r𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲, • Allow direct negotiations, and • Promote itself internationally, This 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 has been used recently by countries in 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 along the 𝗠𝗦𝗚𝗕𝗖, 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮, or 𝗖𝗼̂𝘁𝗲 𝗱'𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲, where majors and small companies have been signing new contracts. The 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘂, from the most productive Marañon in the north, to the yet-to-be-fully explored Madre de Dios in the south, or the Talara basin on the Pacific coast. This trend shows how governments that 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 can create the necessary conditions to attract the players that can unlock the resources that will deliver cheap energy to their economies and revenues to fund development. I expect that a 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, that 𝗘𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 continues its path to open to new players, and that 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘇𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗮 keeps clearing the path for the comeback not only of the IOCs but also of smaller players. The northwest corner of 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 has numerous 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 and investment vehicles that are craving 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 and access to stable geographies. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻? Drop me a message, I can guide you through it.

  • Our MD Serge Hayon has returned from a successful visit to Peru, where he met with a range of stakeholders as the Company continues to advance its plans in the offshore Tumbes Basin. The trip provided an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, engage with key industry and government participants, and continue advancing initiatives aimed at progressing both the Company's exploration licence objectives and future commercialisation opportunities for the Piedra Redonda gas field.
