This week’s Cleveland 230 honorees have dedicated their work to preserving the people, places and moments that make Cleveland, Cleveland. Through their research, writing, photography and advocacy, they’ve helped ensure our city’s history is remembered and shared. This week’s honorees are: #88 John Grabowski — Senior historian at Western Reserve Historical Society and editor of The Encyclopedia of Cleveland History, he’s one of the leading experts on Cleveland’s past. #89 Leah D. Hudnall — A nonprofit strategist and writer who uses immersive storytelling to build community engagement. #90 Kermit J. Pike — As library director at Western Reserve Historical Society, he expanded the library and broadened its collections to reflect Cleveland’s diverse history. #91 Booker Tall — He established Ohio’s first Black studies major at a community college and organized the African-American Archives Auxiliary at Western Reserve Historical Society. #92 Gabe Wasylko — Through his photography, he captures the people and places that tell Cleveland’s authentic story. #93 Regennia Williams — Through her research, books, exhibitions and community programs, she has shared the history and culture of African Americans in Cleveland. #94 Charlotte Morgan — Through journalism and teaching, she preserves Black neighborhood history while expanding access to the arts.
