Last week, our project team celebrated a major milestone as the final structural steel beam was lifted into place, marking the topping out of the new Grace Christian School campus in Apex, NC! 🏗️ The 33 foot ceremonial beam manufactured by North State Steel was signed by project team members, faculty, and staff before being hoisted into position, symbolizing the collective effort behind this project. The celebration included hot dogs, hamburgers, and refreshments provided by United Rentals. With structural steel now complete on the campus's two primary buildings, the project remains on schedule as we work toward welcoming students in Fall 2027. Construction is nearing completion on Dollar Tree's new distribution center in Marietta, OK: a 1,000,000+ SF design-build facility that will replace the original distribution center, also built by Clancy & Theys, after it was significantly damaged by a tornado in 2024. The project continues to make significant progress, with the building exterior taking shape and concrete slab pours recently completed. Returning to this site to help rebuild a facility that has supported Dollar Tree’s operations for years is deeply meaningful for our team. Join us for our next bid interest meeting on FRIDAY, JULY 31 at 10AM. It's time to learn more about the City of Raleigh's Tarboro Road Park project and everything that will go into this thoughtfully designed redevelopment! The Tarboro Road Park project is located at 121 N. Tarboro St., Raleigh, NC 27610. The redevelopment will feature a new 2-story, 20,000sf community center, enhanced outdoor recreational amenities, upgraded sports and play areas, improved gathering spaces, and renovations to the historic St. Monica Teen Center. Thoughtfully designed pedestrian pathways, public art installations, shaded outdoor spaces, and family-friendly features will create a vibrant, welcoming environment where the community can come together. Clancy & Theys Construction Company in Association with McFarland Construction U.S. is now accepting prequalification from principal trade and specialty contractors for the Tarboro Road Park project.

Our internship program is about so much more than the standard day to day - it's about creating opportunities for learning and gaining a deeper understanding of the construction process from every angle! 👷 Recently, interns from a couple of our divisions had the opportunity to visit North State Steel for a behind-the-scenes field trip. Seeing firsthand how one of our industry partners operates gave our interns valuable insight into building industry connections and the work that goes into every successful project. Experiences like these are a key part of what makes our internship program unique. By connecting interns with these industry opportunities, we're helping them build a broader perspective of the construction industry while strengthening the relationships that make our work possible. Building strong communities starts long before the ribbon cutting! 🤝 The Catawba River stretches more than 220 miles through North and South Carolina, supplying drinking water to more than 2.5 million people while supporting businesses, recreation, wildlife, and the communities we call home. That's why members of our Charlotte Division were proud to partner with the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation for this year's River Clean. Living out our value of stewardship, 14 volunteers spent the day removing 1,102 pounds of debris from Lake Wylie - including 12 bags of trash, five tires, a drum barrel, heavy-duty plastics, lumber, and a nine-foot metal gutter. The places where we build deserve to thrive long after construction is complete. Caring for our waterways is one way we help protect the health, resilience, and sustainability of the communities we serve. The next chapter at Port 460 begins! 🎉 Our team recently joined our project partners, Rockefeller Group and Matan Companies, to celebrate the completion of Buildings 1 and 2 and the beginning of vertical construction on Building 3. The event featured remarks from Suffolk Mayor Mike Duman, The Port of Virginia CEO and Executive Director Sarah McCoy, and Rockefeller Group Associate Nick Salameda, highlighting the project's continued impact on the region. Once complete, Building 3 will become the largest speculative industrial building in the Hampton Roads market, marking another major step forward for this transformative, multi-phase development in Suffolk, Virginia.
