Government consultation deadline: 10 February 2026 Rural households and the liquid fuel sector need practical and affordable heating solutions - not one-size-fits-all mandates. The Government’s Clean Heat consultation could see many oil-heated homes pushed towards alternatives such as heat pumps, with upfront costs ranging from £16,900 to £39,400 and annual running costs of up to £1,750.
