This year, 375 participants across 88 teams (engineers, PMs, designers, data scientists, and technical partners) came together to explore bold ideas that complement the important work already underway across our product roadmap, solving real business challenges, reimagining customer experiences, and building smarter internal tools. AI served as our ultimate accelerator, helping teams turn ambitious concepts into polished, production-ready solutions in just days. Here’s a look inside the week: 🌴 HQ transformed into "Hacker Island" with immersive décor and torch lightings 🥨 Snack Supply Drops to keep our builders fueled 🧩 Live puzzles, scavenger hunts, and Slack contests for remote hackers As fun as the competition is, the real magic happens next. Many of these projects won't stop at the finish line, they'll continue on to help shape the future of our products, elevate the customer experience, and change the way we work. This summer, our Customer Care interns haven't spent their time watching from the sidelines. They've visited Carvana facilities across Arizona to see firsthand how our business comes together, spoken directly with customers to better understand their experiences, and worked on projects that will have a real impact on our business. The skills service members use in the military follow them into civilian life. For future auto techs, those skills can be vital. We talked with CarVet Steven, Chad from Legacy Motor Club, and students at the San Diego College of Continuing Education about what service taught them that no class could.

I worked for Carvana a decade ago, and today I became a customer. When I started at Carvana, it was still a start-up. Nobody knew who this small business was, but boy, was it exciting to be part of it. We celebrated reaching 10 markets while I was at Carvana - today they are in over 300 (according to my ChatGPT 'research'). My experience as a customer was just as easy as I always claimed it was when I worked there. I got the quote in seconds online - and it was for more than I thought my 2014 Mazda3 with body damage would be worth. I scheduled a pickup for the very next day, and quite literally less than 24 hours after receiving my quote, my car was picked up, and the payment for the exact quote was on its way into my account. No haggling, no negotiation. My appointment lasted 8 minutes right outside my house. Thanks for the fun trip down memory lane with this experience, Carvana!
