Biolocity is a philanthropic, multi-institutional network supporting university medical technology commercialization in the southeast. Through a combination of investment, project management, consulting, and educational programming, Biolocity provides early-stage, patient impacting technologies the resources needed to reach critical commercialization milestones. In October 2019, the Coulter Translational Program re-branded to Biolocity, expanding our funding and commercialization support opportunities. The program continues to be stewarded by the Biomedical Engineering Department of Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University.

Biolocity is proud to announce the awardees for the 2026–2027 program cycle, recognizing promising innovations in biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, and digital health. Selected from Georgia Tech and Emory University, these teams represent high-potential technologies poised to advance healthcare and improve patient outcomes. Through a competitive, multi-stage evaluation process, Biolocity identifies and supports technologies with strong commercialization potential. In addition to funding, teams receive intensive support in areas such as commercialization strategy, milestone development, market assessment, and pitch preparation, working alongside experienced entrepreneur advisors to accelerate progress, reduce risk, and strengthen readiness for downstream funding and market adoption. Final cohort selection is made by Biolocity’s Oversight Committee, a multidisciplinary panel of investors, entrepreneurs, clinicians, engineers, and technology transfer leaders who evaluate each opportunity for innovation, impact, execution readiness, and commercial potential. The 2026–2027 program will include both a full Biolocity Cohort and a Seed Funding Group.
