In seven years, Discoveries has become a launchpad for debut novelists. The numbers speak for themselves: 40% of longlisted alumni have secured agents and 21% have book deals. Designed to address the specific challenges that women face as writers, and part of our commitment to seek out and support writers underrepresented in the UK publishing industry, Discoveries is free to enter and unagented and unpublished women writers only have to submit the first 10,000 words of a novel. This July, Gloria Steinem took the stage at Audible's Minetta Lane Theatre for her final public appearance recorded live.
