This week, we gave our colleagues a closer look at our future headquarters at 2 World Trade Center, after officially breaking ground on the site last week. I couldn't be prouder that we're continuing our commitment to this city and this neighborhood where American Express has called home for over 175 years, and where I’ve been coming to work for over four decades. Our future headquarters will be monumental, not only because of its modern design with vast green outdoor spaces and cutting-edge technology, but also as the final commercial building to complete the World Trade Center campus. Buildings don't make great companies. People do. This is an investment in the talented colleagues who will shape the future of American Express, and I can't wait to see the ideas, innovation, and teamwork that will bring our new headquarters to life. Thank you to countless colleagues across #TeamAmex whose collaboration has brought us to today and will carry us to our next ribbon cutting, when we move into our new home. The EMEA American Express Leadership Academy in partnership with Common Purpose brought together nonprofit leaders for several days of learning, collaboration, and connection in London. Through discussions on storytelling, resilience, and leading through change, the Academy created space for leaders to share experiences, challenge ideas, and learn from one another. The week brought leadership insights from Christy Turlington Burns, founder and president of maternal health organization Every Mother Counts; Ruth Rogers, author, podcast host and founder of The River Café; and Ronny Turiaf, philanthropist and NBA champion. Thank you to our inspiring speakers, partners, and the nonprofit leaders who made this year’s Academy such a powerful reminder of what can happen when leadership is rooted in community.
