The subject matter starts off well. What would any of us do if we discovered that our child wasn't our child.
The frustration and confusion at the start makes sense and you do get a fairly accurate take on what 4 regular people would do in this scenario.
Then however, they made Pete become a complete man child without zero intellectual though, making basic mistake after basic mistake and being far too trusting for any normal human being. Then of course he forgets that he was a journalist and shows next to zero of these skills, showing zero attempt to do any basic research. With 99% of his mistakes just not being something any normal human being would make.
Peter aside, Miles was far too two dimensional a villain, being laughable at times, with Pete and Maddie not reacting like any normal person would. No police down South?
Overally the show starts with promise but soon turns into a badly written villain series, with Pete repeatedly making mistakes that makes no logical sense, and the finale was well, lackluster to say the least.
Doubt anyone will be watching this in a month's time.

Well I wasn't wasn't expecting much and that's exactly what I got.
Mescal, poor choice for a role that you don't care about.
Washington, painful to watch in this role. Completely wrong for the role and overacted so badly he was cringey to watch.
Pascal's character didn't have any depth and even he couldn't save the role.
And the Emperors were just comically bad.
Overall just a poor movie, with terrible CGI for the animals.
Didn't need to be a sequel to Gladiator, could have just been any old gladiator film but I understand that sequels bring money.
This film will be completely forgotten about.

Beckham is a little bit before my time so I was learning a lot about his younger career from the documentary and it was really interesting to learn about his rises and falls.
I knew he was a working class lad but I had no idea that his dad was a Manchester United fanatic that basically bullied his son into becoming a footballer. You can definitely see that David's mentally has been massively impacted by his father's harsh treatment.
I lived in Madrid during Beckham's time there and went to a lot of matches and Beckham wasn't really dropped just because he was talking to LA Galaxy. It was widely spoken about and obvious to see that what David really brought to the team was he marketable name, which brough in a lot of money to the club but he wasn't actually a world class player and not really a Galactico.
Though I suppose, given the kind of person that David comes across as, he's hardly going to say I just wasn't a good enough player to play for Madrid.
That aside what stops this documentary become an 8+ show is that David doesn't really talk about his affair with Rebecca Loos. They don't even say her name in the documentary, just that the press kept writing about it.
For it to be a real documentary, David should have talked about it. If he was sorry about it, then just say that. Don't kind of mention the story but don't actually talk about it.
Overall it's enjoyable to watch but you do end up feeling like you've only heard half the story and a heavily edited one at that.
