This was a surprisingly good film. From the trailer, I thought it was just gonna be another teenage slasher film, but I was shocked at how funny it was and how well acted it was and the kills were excellent.
The only possible downside was that the tone shifts were very jarring. Both tones worked, though the romcom stuff was funny while the horror elements walnut scary were executed well.
Also, at the end, Walnut completely predictable it was just blah and made absolutely no sense. None of the characters are connected in anyway. It was nice to see Jordana Brewster and Devon Sawa in a movie.
All in all a pleasant surprise, I probably won't watch it again, but it was a decent little movie. I look forward to what the director does after this.
