Great Noir Film You've Never Seen , newly resorted ! Woman on the Run (1950) was restored in 2015 after being believed lost. The Film Noir Foundation and UCLA Film & Television Archive worked together to restore the film. Restored largely through the efforts of TCM's Film Noir expert Eddie Muller.
Police bird-dog his wife Eleanor (Ann Sheridan), certain she'll lead them to her husband, whose testimony against the killer could bring down a crime kingpin. But Eleanor and her hubbie are Splitsville-she never wants to see him again. When roguish newspaperman Danny Leggett (Dennis O'Keefe) charms Eleanor into helping him track down the hidden husband-there are unexpected, stunning and poignant results.
This nervy, shot-on-location thriller is a witty and wise look at the travails of romance and marriage, and perhaps the best cinematic depiction ever of mid-20th century San Francisco. This is a gem - hard-boiled, splendidly-acted, written and photographed.8/10.

An innocent young sailor (Bill Williams) is slipped a mickey and wakes up next to a dead woman (Lola Lane). A diverse group of people including a hard-bitten dance hall girl (Susan Hayward), a philosophical, statistics-quoting cabbie (Paul Lukas), and the dead woman's slimy brother (Joseph Calleia) then come together for varied reasons to help the sailor clear his name before a DEADLINE AT DAWN.
DEADLINE AT DAWN has loads of shadowy film noir atmosphere and an energetic performance by Hayward as its foremost attributes. Hayward is especially beautiful in this movie. She's tough and no nonsense but caring. She was just on the verge of hitting the big time; the following year she was Oscar-nominated as Best Actress for Smash-up: The Story of a Woman . She would be nominated four more times before winning on the final nomination for 1958's I WANT TO LIVE!
I had a blast with this film ! Unique script boasting some sharp dialogue; may occasionally prioritize character over coherence, but the film entertains through classic whodunit elements, a coterie of intriguing supporting characters, and the unwavering screen appeal of Hayward. The character development works well here and you end up caring about the players right up the the climax of the film. This is a film worth watching !

"Obi-Wan Kenobi" begins 10 years after the dramatic events of "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat - the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Something between prequels and Originals "Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Complete Series" collects all six episodes of the titular series featuring the returns of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen & James Earl Jones as Darth Vader.
We find an older Obi-wan who has distanced himself from the force. This series is some of best recent Star Wars content! The storytelling is excellent.
Outstanding writing, visuals, acting and music. Top-notch space opera television miniseries.
