Late 1940's typical farming family...and Mackie now grown up and coming home for family business runs into a childhood friend...As they warmly reminisce the question comes up about Mac's old coon hound..."WHATEVER HAPPENED TO DANNYBOY?" A flashback occurs as Mac relates the story of how he came to own Dannyboy and the fond memories of those days of long ago. His memories include a sensitive and loving mother, a domineering father...and unconditional love, forgiveness and the feeling that some things are just better left unsaid.
