This is the best, so far, of the 2019 season! Not the typical Hallmark Christmas story of someone going home and falling in love with an old flame, almost not working out, but of course, together in the end. This is a great fresh story with a little unexpected twist of how they come together. Also, the music is awesome!
When discussing getting a babysitter for Beaver, which he doesn't need being 12 years old especially when June and Ward are only going to be a couple of blocks from their house, June mentions they had a babysitter for Wally at that age. Well, when Wally was 12, Beaver would have only been 7 or 8 (their age gap was never clear because at the beginning of the show Beaver was in the 2nd grade and Wally was in the 8th grade, 6 years between them. In the end, Beaver was in 8th grade and Wally graduated from high school, 4 years between them.) So, when Wally was 12 a babysitter would have been more likely because Beaver was so young.
First things first, I adore Paul Campbell in every single Hallmark movie he has ever done!!! More please!!
It's stated in the "goofs" section about this movie, that at the Mayfield party, Richard's character says hello to Gridley but calls him Richard instead of Gridley. Actually, it's Gridley (with his back to the camera) saying hello to Richard. A closer look shows that Richard simply raises his eyebrows a bit at Gridley then gives a half-smile with no words being spoken, by Richard, until they take photos together and give their names.
